Japes and comic play

Japes and comic play are really fun for some players and some DMs but they are not universally appreciated, especially in DM quests where they can seriously destroy any atmosphere that a DM is wishing to generate. Using some of the more wacky artefacts that turn PCs into animals should be restricted to an appropriate environment. Please do not interrupt DM quests and other more serious situations with such antics. Save them for the more light hearted situations. If in doubt, check with the DM running your event before using such items.
