Faction Characters

If you are playing in a faction, your character should be your main character. It is preferable not to have an alternate character but it is not forbidden. If you do have a character in a faction, please make sure your alternate character(s) are not part of a group or connected to a group or plot that your faction character is working with or against. This will create conflict of interest and also metagaming even if unwillingly. Please avoid this at all cost.

Allow me to add a not-so subtle bump to this.
If I catch any of you "playing both sides," - that is, getting into or back into a DM Faction or Player Faction AND having an alternate on a side that is clearly in opposition with the one faction - I will -personally- strip both characters from your vault(s). This also includes begging to get access back to forums or abusing current access for another character's benefit. This is considered metagaming to the highest degree, and it will be punished severely if you are caught.
In fact, I might just ban you if I catch you. And I'm incredibly perceptive.
