Make stealth not break if friendly spells or potion drinking
-
There has been talk of rogues needing a boost. And also rangers, who are not Full plate users. So I figured Id make a controversial suggestion.
Similar to invisibility, allow non hostile actions to be taken, without breaking stealth.
Potion use, or even non hostile spellcasting. It would allow a rogue the ability to actually drink a potion or two before going in for the gank, and it would make sense, since especially potion use shouldnt break stealth anyhow. -
No.
I've seen enough stealth or invisible ganks on here and other servers to last a lifetime without giving people any help to do it.
They never struggled to begin with.

non hostile spellcasting
All spellcasting is can be considered a hostile act.
You and another player are engaged in a standoff. You are hostile to each other because PVP is imminent. You drink a potion or cast a spell? That is a hostile act.

To build on this, I do think rangers and rogues need a 'boost' but part of that is the lack of available gear and items to really take advantage of rogue or ranger stealth builds.
The AC on chainmail or leather is unexceptional, and it's rare to find a pair of rings let alone items that actually give you viable stealth skill to stack.
I think it's an item problem, in combination with low base hp + lack of 'kit' options compared to others.
