Server Version:220918 Echo 7683Issue Description:. When zombified frost giant shamans have around 300 hp, and use only a sling. Dunno if it's a bug or as intended but here it is.
The frost giant warrior when zombified comes armed with a two blades sword, a weapon he isn't proficient with, necessitating any would be necromancers to bring along multiple weapons.
The frost giant champions are unarmed.
Give everyone a great axe by default and the world will be a better place

Nope.
These are NPCs you fight on quests. Those are the weapons they have.
When you animate them, they have what they have. They don't change.

So they can use a double sword when alive but when they’re zombies they forget how to..?

Yeah, they dont have 2 weapon fighting or ambidexterity feats

That's how they are when alive.

They don't know how to use one effectively while alive either.
When you animate a dead monster, it's literally an exact copy. The only changes are from reagents.

thats cool, i mean i brought it up in discord and was told it was a bug. I can use .equipsummon to give them a great axe but it seems to be hit or miss whether they actually use the item you give them.

So, we could do this, but the quest would be harder.
I don't know why they were made with two ended weapons and no feats, but it may be to intentionally lower Thier AB

@gloomy_sunday that might be a bug. I thought I made it delete what was in their hand, before equipping a new item,to avoid the AI deciding what to use (unless the item was equipped by a necro,so you don't equip it with two weapons, then your cool weapon get deleted when you give it the second one)
But default weapons, should get deleted upon you giving them a new one.

the ogre champions have the same issue, the lack of feats allowing them to use the weapons is offset by their raw power and damage potential.
use .equipsummon to give them a greataxe or sword and you will get more out of them

Just bare in mind that, the only undead that were made "to be undead" are the special ones you can dig up.
If you didn't dig it up, no one said "this is how I want the undead creature to be"
The DM was designing a monster to be fought by PC's,while it is alive.
So, any requests to change none dug up undead is just a no, because it's a request to change the monster, not the undead version.
