The Crown Guards
-
Thankfully the Crown Guards have proven themselves so far an ally to Eveningstar and the House of the Morning, willing to do as I request to assist Eveningstar. Of course, the alliance currently relies heavily upon Dominic Swift, but I am also seeking its second active adventuring member in an attempt to establish stronger ties. I believe it is essential that we keep the Crown Guards on our good side, ensuring that the ways of Lathander are fully respect.
Additionally, thanks to this alliance we have a say regarding law enforcement within the capital. Whilst keeping the Crown Guards at an arms length from our own lands. Dominic relies upon me to be his public figure of kindness, wisdom, and ball plank for ideas. The more he leans upon me, the more essential is Eveningstar's influence.

Dominic has been digging in the past regarding an incident at Hillmarch tied to Scion Treth of the Precept, a tiefling with a love for fire. It appears Treth bit off more than he could chew, and Hillmarch was attacked by planar beings due to this. Rather than look through every historic account and try to enforce the law months later, I recommended to Dominic to approach Treth directly. If Dominic succeeds, I could write a few grand stories about Treth learning his lesson and submitting for the greater good. A win for good, a loss to the Precept.

As I understand Qo'i is accused of assaulting Dominic, members of the House of the Morning, and others during a fight against Volmar. He is held in the Crown Guards jail.
Qo'i attempted to send a letter to the Precept whilst in jail, asking them to reveal him as an undercover Bloodhound. Dominic approached myself to discuss this matter, and I suggested he could go to Kira regarding it. He managed to speak with Kira and the Precept's founder, Hector, who denied Qo'i being a member of the Precept.

I was witness as was Maire, he is no Bloodhound, just a rat.
When the battle seemed dire against Volmar, with only Dominic, Maire and Quo standing against him Quo decided to hedge his bets and turned on us in the heat of battle. Unfortunately for him he bet poorly and Dominic and Maire struck him down.

Qo'i is to be transferred to the House of the Morning for re-educational purposes, he shall aid us against the vampire coven in the Haunted Halls. This is his chance for redemption, as judged by Lathander, and it is not up to him to either embrace the light or face the wrath of the sun.

How are we going to keep hold of him, practically speaking? We do not have anyone capable of seeing him when he doesn't want to be seen, that I know of.

Friends
Qo'i is likely going to claim he has been victimised, I enclose the statements on the Volmar situation to prove he has not
In the battle Treth was animated, I did not see who did this myself but as supposedly it was throwing spells at Volmar as well as hitting us, Alparin suspected it may have been Qo'i
@zolm said in Letter to Dominic:
During the heat of battle with Volmar a zombie threth was raised as undead fighting on our side. I believe Quo to be responsible for this heresy.
-AlparinMaires statement matches how I saw the situation
@paramour said in Crown Guard Records, c/o Dominic:
I write this to affirm the following:
- That I did accompany Dominic upon his quest to slay Volmer, demonic servant of Change.
- During this fight, amongst other things, I witnessed the person known as Q'oi initially join the fighting. I lost track of him, and the next time that I noticed him he was standing off to the side, without engaging either side.
- When I was the last soldiers standing healing Dominic, I did call out to Q'oi to join us and asked why he had not. I also heard Volmer call out to him, saying to come and join him instead.
- When Q'oi did join the fight, he joined on the side of Volmer, attacking Dominic directly and ignoring me. I struck him in the knee with my flail, knocking him down long enough for Dominic to deliver a debilitating blow upon him before returning to the fight with Volmer.
- I can not speak to whether or not he animated the corpse of Treth, the infernalist, as I did not personally witness this happen and it was outside my field of vision at the time.
- At the time that Qo'i joined the fighting, it did appear as though we were or would be losing badly.
This comprises what I have been asked to give witness testimony upon, though I may be contacted for further inquiry at the House of the Morning in Eveningstar.

~ Order of the AsterWhen he was in the cells he tried to have a letter snuck out to the Precept, this was intercepted and he tries to claim he was an undercover Bloodhound who slew Treth as a Stray, However when he killed Treth I had already asked Adelaide to execute Treth and Qo'i struck him first to try and claim credit

hand delivered to the Arcanum
Master,
I languish in the cells of the Crown Guard currently. Having been assaulted in the field by the Guard Dominic whilst attempting to aid in bringing down the abysal Volmar. The fog of war seems to have claimed him such that when i acted to try to aid he ran at me and forced me to defend myself which i failed to do obviously.
I believe that it time that i reveal myself as one of your Bloodhounds and that you claim me publically that the city may know that the job of policing the Blooded is fulfilled. Treth was finally silenced by my hand in the end when his actions crossed the line that could not be ignored for the greater good, the Bloodhound's duty fulfilled.
As you know i was also instrumental in the capture and subsequent execution of the Lycan Sirona, though the Crown guard seem to have ommited that from any reports they have published on the matter.
I will brief you in full on the happenings in the eastern reaches when i am free to come to you.
I have always respected the freedom you have allowed me in my role, and hoppe that you will not discard me to the Crown Guard now, for with the oath taken we stand by one another as family do we not.
Qo'i
He will also claim I attacked him after he "Assisted" bring down Siona, What happened was whilst I was engaged in battle with a dangerous lycan, Qo'i had gone into hiding as he usually does, and simply watched before deciding to throw a fireball into combat that struck both myself and Siona, After Siona was brought low I went to subdue Qo'i to question him on his actions.

The man is to walk the light himself, if he cowers in the shadow he must face the wrath of the sun. We can but guide him, the choice to walk into the light is now his. If you struggle to spot him, glitterdust and amplify works well. Ensure he shows respect, it is essential he shows will to reform.

Dominic has informed me Conrad of the Ravens, offered him ten thousand gold and a proclamation of Dominic being a hero of Tilverton, if he handed Qo'i over to him. An attempted, but failed bribe. Conrad is currently throwing some rather colorful and offensive words around, angered by Qo'i being in our care, rather than on the Tilverton execution block.
Perhaps Qo'i know something Conrad wish to stay between them? Either way, please keep Qo'i away from Conrad and the Ravens. Clearly they wish him dead.

Dominic was most helpful, and provided a copy of the strange bribe.

Dominic,
I have learned that qoi betrayed your group and aided Volmar. Volmar was considered a threat to Tilverton in particular due to his attack on the town, and I wish to request that qoi be handed over to face the Dukes judgement as a co conspirator.
There will be a bounty of ten thousand gold coins and you will be congratulated through bulletins as a protector of the realm.

I have asked Conrad in the Council files to explain why he is ever so eager to have Qo'i in Tilverton, he is.. passionate about the subject.

Conrad has left the Council, the query has been forwarded to the next Raven to take his place.

The matter of Qo'i has been moved to a new file.
