[Denied and Closed]Miel Shepard Council Member
-
As owner of the fabled ring of the Red Gem, Miel Shepard has put his life on the line in the interest of Arabel, its citizen, and its surrounding land. Miel Shepard is a ranger of the Wildwalkers, and thus belong to a different rank compared to Zuralankar. As such, I suggest he becomes a member of the Council, this will allow greater cooperation over the ring and any further discoveries. He has already proven himself willing to sacrifice much for the good of out kingdom, as such I believe he has already earned his right to join the Council.

The Duchy of Tilverton will support a member of the Hullack Rangers, and a second Wild Walker hold the position of Twelve Council Member under the condition that in matters of State their vote counts as one.

@sadgruffman
I will accept this if any and all members of the council that have any affiliation with Tilverton are similarly treated, only having their total votes count as a single one.Dawnbrother Aland

Dawnbrother,
The simple fact is our Wildwalker companions know very little of the intricacies of our city. Allowing them two seats as we survey the plethora of threats plaguing our fine kingdom is a fine idea, though regarding matters of State... I wholeheartedly disagree.
For example organizing a town hall meeting, or an open forum, even surveying internal threats, does not suit their abilities. They know nothing of the lethargic peasant nor the strenuous efforts of our kingdoms lords, and in that I envy them.
Your suggestion that 'any' affiliation with me should reduce my vote is somewhat, I dare say, offensive. Can you elaborate on your request?

Let us focus on passing this vote first, then let us discuss the one or two votes later. Honestly, I much rather get started on resolving this issue, than debate rules and formalities in a nomination discussion. If you are a yes, then vote yes.
Those who want to discuss the amount of votes, do so in another thread.

Dame Drakebane has informed me that the Wildwalkers cannot approve another member, until a druid represents a grove of their own. So, Mr Shepard has decided not to seek to replace Zuralankar as Wild Walker representative.'

He ain't the dumbest sod I've met before, that seems like a net positive.

It appears that the vote is clear enough to call.
The wildsman Miel is to be given a seat on the council, that has no designation but is for one that desires to aid the city.
I shall write a letter comfirming this to him

Access has been granted for this one.
Clerk Johnson -
An irritated Saga is seen in the chamber speaking with the clerk. Shortly thereafter the clerk hastily reversed the error and a short note is added to the file
Councilors,
So long as the true nature of the fabled Red Gem is unknown it is not in the best interest of the Kingdom to have this man on the council. Already, many parties are growing interested in possessing this item that I know of and undoubted many covet it as yet undiscovered.
Their majesties wish the matter investigated and resolved without undue influence of the bearer.

Sorry boss,
We'll do a better job and get this one off your plate.
Councilors, should we try and organize a time to meet and discuss what all we know and suspect?
