Case File: Emerald Lord of the North

Recently undead have been sighted around the lands, often shadowy ghouls along with demons, claiming the Emerald Lord has promised them flesh to feed on.
It has been suspected they were based in the Stonelands and now It seems certain that they are based in the Nemser ruins of the Stonelands, Yesterday I heard rumours of strange occurences in the stonelands and made a sending for aid, Only Mikul came and we headed north and found the disturbance in the Nemser region, Many undead including shadowy undead were in the region.
We tried to cut through them but had to fall back to Tilverton and call for aid when we encountered a slow lumbering beast that was made of various large corpses.
After more aid came from the Precept and Clark we fought our way to the ruins and found undead with emeralds replacing their eyes, A beetle tried to escape from one of the undeads mouth which the precept took for study

You forget to mention the slow lumbering hulk followed you back to Tilverton’s borders, an action which would have had dire consequences if not for the Precepts interventions, it was loitering outside the gates when I arrived to your sending from Tilverton.
The horde arrived not soon after.
A statement that can be backed by asking Mikul of the events.

Wow! A councilor led an undead abomination to the gates of Tilverton and they didn't even strike off his head and pike it outside their walls. They must be getting soft.
I'm hoping to have something actually substantial to report on this matter in the coming week. I don't believe the Nemser Ruins to be their headquarters from my investigations into it's nature, but it may play some part in the creation of the various undead that have been plaguing us for the past several weeks.
It's also clear to me that the Emerald Lord and his servants have a much better grasp of the functions of these ruins than I do, which is worrying for other, more practical reasons.

There was certainly a shadowy figure just before the cave that leads to the ruins.
It cast a few spells at Taymont before just fading into the shadow.
