Entropy Item
-
Misery wanted to get the staff of entropy for the delivery of debt Dodger Alethra to the casino.
While I maintain the +1 2d6 staff is effectively useless in the hands of a pure sorc, I have been instructed to redesign it anyway and I hate everyone involved including myself.
What I would like instead is for the staff to have no stats at all, but narratively capable of destroying items.
Puffy said they could probably make a custom power that summons something akin to a trash barrel, though ideally we would have the model be something different. Like a portal or some such.
The idea was also tossed around of just making it a void barrel that is mechanically just a portable trash bin, which is a lot less cool and a lot more gimmicky imo. I actually pitched the idea as a snide joke but everyone pretended not to notice.
That said I would like it to remain a cool glowy staff. If it's possible to script it so that it can conjure a maw of the void swirling energy placable for destroying items, evidence, and corpses; all the better and very cool.
We dont really need to do that though. We could just ask the player to roleplay it that way and dispose of the items like normal at the nearest trash bin.
Regardless we would ask them to keep logs of what they feed it, and perhaps it regurgitates something back sometimes. An enemy, or something useful.
I would also like to pitch the idea that the more its fed the more powerful it could become. I would suggest things like darkness spells and thematically compelling things like that, but this would fall on an admin and not myself anyway.
Please discuss.

We could modify the dmfi_destroyobject tool to work with this wand, and have a flashy, random vfx when it consumes an item.
Secondly, there can be a 1% chance of it spawning a few useless/useful item as a result.
Actually, there is a default nwn item that does what we're looking for, and it can restore the charges on any item- we can tell her to use it exclusively on what we give her...
