How awesome is this override? DAMN awesome.
-
Disabling both the "Underdark", and "City" Tilesets is imo a good idea when playing on coa. There seems to be some overlap, and some things not displaying properly. Not run into any other problem though, and the forest/winter/rural areas look plain gorgeous.
You can disable the two tilesets by running the config program that came with the override, and following instructions.

Holy shit, this is how the game looks to some of you?
I've been missing out.
-
Anybody have luck getting the shader program to work? It causes the game to crash for me.
:(
-
no problems here that i can tell…

:(
The overrides work, it's the shader program referenced in the override that gives me problems.
-
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
-
shader program???
-
Well, I got it running but it dropped my framerate to between 1 and 3…
-
What is it? how do you activate it? is it on by default?
-
I found the link on the Vault page for the override.
-
I tried to get NWShader running but it just crashes when the menu tries to load up. As for the NWNCQ or whatever, the texture overhaul override, it's okay.. I like some of it. Hullack is great and all but you can't see anything. Granted an untamed forest should look this way but it makes playing pretty impossible.
-
this the overrides djanga was working on?
-
I heard Djanga was working on it.
Also, I don't really care about the lower vision in the forests, makes it more fun for me, give it a try, good thing about overides is you can just wipe the files.
-
WOW, that shader thing rocks! few slightly dodgy things about it, but well worth it if you ask me. check it out at Hinxs link one page back

Right, I fiddled about with the Depth of field thing, because, I had wierd fringes round a lot of stuff.
This link tells you how to fix it, if you have the same problem.
I only added the Clamp line. Didnt bother messing with the other part.
Here is a link to the edited file, if you don't want to open a file and count 121 lines down like I did…..
Download that, and dump it over the one in
NWN\nwshader\shaders
Should fix any fringing issues you might get with the depth of field.
I had to turn bloom off so far, because, when outside the Zhent embassy during the day, with it on, everything is WAY too bright.
Might try and tweak those settings myself later.
Edit:
Tweaked it.
I use these settings, you need to open the shader file and edit them in notepad... I guess I could upload the file again for the lazies
float PASSMULT = 2.95
float CUTOFF = 0.8;
Heres the file then….
-
Depth of field is awesome on this thing.
-
Wow I wish I could get my shader to work. :( Probably a stupid ATI thing. I've got an ATI 4870 1GB, and it seems to have issues with any game.
-
Mine is nVidia and still no love. It drops my framerate to Apple IIe levels.
-
My game still crashes after the movies. I tried following this link however it doesn't request to "replace" a file in my install folder when I copy/paste the renamed file, and I still crash after the movies.
help pls?

Renaming nwmain.exe to wmain.exe let me get intot he game, but my FPS was still shot.
