Weight Reduction

Not a Scripting question, but I'm not sure where else it fits.
In the toolset, when applying the 'Weight Reduction' Special Property to an item, if I chose, as an example, Weight Reduction: 60%… would that reduce the BASE_ITEM's weight to 60% of original, or reduce it by 60% of the base item's total?

100% weight reduction means it weighs nothing, so, 80%, means it weighs 20% of its total weight. The weight is reduced by the percentage.

Um, Zool I have an item to disprove your statement, I have a set of Full Plate that weighs 40lbs and says it has 80% weight reduction so unless normal everyday Full Plate weighs 200 lbs the reduction is based on being X% of the original objects weight. So in my case the Armor is 80% the normal weight. That or I have bugged Armor.

Your armour is probably bugged, I've seen weight reduction not work before.

In a magic bag the % is how much it reduces the contents by, so a 40% weight reduction bag will make 10 pounds of gear weigh 6 pounds.
But in other items with the weight reduction property the % is how much of the original weight remains, so 40% weight reduction on a 100 pound item means it weighs 40 pounds.

Thanks, guys… That means I need to make some adjustment on the sandbox module I'm fiddling with. Like Zool, I assumed they used logic and defined the reduction as how much it was reduced by.

This works only if you then throw all of your results out, then plop in a totaly arbitrary number, like 42.
