Greetings and Salutations, Gentlefolk of Arabel

If your emotes are as long and rich as your posts, it'll be a blast–with the caveat of course that you can type fairly fast.

I'll check into that, luteijn. I was mainly using this as a listing for commands.
/topic/218I can type fairly quickly. My only concerns are dialup failing on me and interrupting stuff. That and the phone. During the day it can be a hassle. I'm going to try to keep my RP stuff scheduled to the evening hours, when the phone calls stop.
Then all I have to worry about is dialup failing. But I can usually be back in within 2-5 minutes, depending on what happened. If it's just a straight up case of the ISP crashing, it signs back on automatically and could just take a moment or two.
However, my USB modem likes to lock up, occasionally. I'm not sure why. It starts flicking up a message that the number can't be connected. That the modem isn't set up correctly, or is already in use. (I believe it's from the crash, and the modem not fully shutting down.)
Anyways, when that happens, my only option generally is to unplug the modem. Sometimes this causes the PC to restart, others it just starts working again and I get back online.
In those cases, it'll take a bit longer to get back into things. I guess one other problem to be concerned with is lag on the server itself. Most times I got by with very little lag. But other times, when the DMs had a lot of creatures and effects blasting off, it can get bad in areas.
I seem to remember once instance of it happening. The slums were being invaded and people were running through the city to help defend them. I forget what the invasion was. Orcs or something, I believe. But it was far too laggy for me to venture in.
As far as typing fast, wabishi, I can type pretty swiftly, from years of typing at the PC in various formats. The only problems arise when I get to typing so fast that my thoughts jumble together and I foul up, or I mis-strike a key and fall prey to the dreaded typo.
From past characters, I try to put in a few voice macros. Especially with a scout. I can't tell the number of times I was in a group, and they charged ahead, and I didn't have time to warn them of traps. So I ultimately had to macro a generic trap warning to tell them to stop.
