At last

Since the "enlightened" people don't believe in devils anymore…
well, most of them doesn't.

It's amazing what Americans can do when the Playstation Network is down.

I wasnt going to express my personal thoughts on this matter, mostly because, as I wrote earlier, I dont find CoA and political discussions to be proper. However, as people have had this discussion in a very grown up and adult manner, ill express my thoughts.
The only way to "save" a people from a dictator, is to allow them to remove him on their own. Because quite simply, unless systems are changed from within, all an outsider can do, is to treat symptoms, not the actual illness.
Much of what we western people call the muslim world, is doing this as we sit here. I was in Egypt a year ago, and saw one of the odd countries in the world. 80% of the population are poor. Yet, with this extreme poverty, they are such a proud country. You will never find an egyptian beg for money. He or she will try and sell you all manner of crap, but to beg, never.
The changes had to come from within. And they are making history, fighting and giving their lives, in order to gain what had been denied them for so long.
Its the whole "give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day; Teach him how to fish, and he wil…"About a month after all of this happened, one of our danish Government guys, expressed that he believed the Iraq war had started all of what is now happening in the region. When I heard it, I got insanely pissed. Saddam was a turd, a tyrant and a mass murderer. He was a bastard who deserved everything coming to him. Yet we handled it all wrong.
Regarding the whole Bin Laden thing... I feel somewhat like Harry, I feel safer for some odd reason that I myself cannot understand. And hopefully it will go to show, that when you commit terrorism, the western world will never give up. Will it stop terror once Bin Laden is dead? Most likely not. But will it have some effect, of course it will. Its much harder to find the balls to pull off something like blowing up innocent people, if you know that no matter how long it might take, we WILL avenge the innocent blood spilled.
Now... regarding you americans celebrating... A friend of mine, posted the following message on Facebook. I feel it is very proper to end my rant with...
"Thinks that there are certain similarities between the celebration of Osama Bin Laden's death and the celebration in the middle east after the 9/11 attacks … "

The anti-Americanism in this thread is subtle, but quite clear from more than a few of you. I also see most non-Americans downplay Bin Laden's death as "it's nice it happened, but won't stop anything". Your sympathy for the nearly 3000 lost on 9/11 is non-existent. I am getting annoyed with this thread now. :?

You are misunderstanding lack of sympathy for wars, with lack of sympathy for 9.11.
I still remember, precisely what i wore, and what I was doing when the news of what happened reached me. You will not find many danish people who do not feel similar.
There isnt any lack of understanding that Bin Laden had to die. I read through every post, and didnt find any person not feeling that justice had to be done.
But yes, Khamal, the feelings you are having now, is precisely the reason why i said politics and coa do not work well together.

As someone who posted along those lines I can say your post is, to put it mildly, bullshit and actually quite insulting.
Saying I have no sympathy for the 3000 people killed by an atrocious act orchestrated by a mad-man actually makes me seeth. I love America and Americans, but I stand firm in my view that little will change as a result of Bin Laden's death - it doesn't mean I condone or am not sympathetic to what happened on 9/11 or any other occasion where terrorism took place

If only they had thought to look for him at his house earlier.

I blame Olouth and Dond, though I bet it's related to the "I don't know how tall 5'10 is" in the description thread.
