Necromancy questions

Q# can a necromancer curse a noble family (every generation to come and all servants) into eternal life? (vampire-like)
Q# can sorcerers bend this curse so at least they life again but are still undead?
Q# is there an ability to tranfer visions of the past onto someone else?

You can curse a family bloodline if you are insanely powerful and REALLY hate their guts.
You cannot, however, curse the entire family with undeath as that would prohibit any future generations to come. Since undead don't breed (despite whatever Twilight and Underworld might have taught you).
You could animate their corpses or curse them in several imaginative ways. Giving them vampirism would require a vampire to bite them.
Transferring visions from the past would require something along the lines of the liquid memories seen in Harry Potter. It would be extremely rare/expensive/powerful and have severe limitations.
So I think the simple answer to most of your questions are; no.
If you wish to play a vampire/undead character (as I am assuming from your questions) you will need a stellar application. -
Roll a human, male necromancer and you'll be set for greatness

I smell bias.

ok mostly no… what's the diference between a necromancer and a sorcerer? I mean both can have those animate dead create undead spells, is there realy a diference?

never saw twilight but besides that, it would mean that the curse should've been cast recently… yeah might want to scrape underworld knowledge in my head then.
just thought a nice plot to try and lift a curse from a family blood line guess I am more flawed then I thought thank you for the awnsers my concept shal be adjusted accordingly

The difference between a sorcerer and a necromancer are both nothing and everything.
A necromancer is a magician, arcane or divine, who practices necromancy. This be both clerics, wizards and sorcerers. But most sorcerers are not necromancers, and in mechanical terms; a necromancer is a Wizard who specialises in the school of necromancy. You can have a concept where a/your family (yourself included or not) has been cursed and such a curse must be lifted (who wants to be cursed?). But if having them all turned into undead, I'm not sure… Perhaps ghosts, but I doubt vampires works.
Two ways to do this that I can think of:- You family was killed by a curse and prevented from moving on, being trapped as ghosts to forever haunt your old manors. You wish to set them free and give them rest.
- Your family was cursed by an evil sorcerer/wizard/cleric to suffer from X ailment, for instance never being able to eat/sleep/drink again. Making them undead/immortal as per Pirates of the Caribbean would be a game-breaker as your character is fully mortal, but something similiar could work as a baseline.
The idea of lifting a curse from a family bloodline is fully viable. I only question the undeath part of it. In Baldurs Gate II: Shadows of Amn you ran into a mad wizard who had cursed his entire bloodline and tapped into their lifeforce in order to prolong his own lifespan. He essentially absorbed their lives to prolong his own. Something like this works fine. There are a range of curses you can work with, just be creative!
-
thank you kind one I shal adjust creatively, I think my first option was that the curse doesn't affect you until you're dead, once you are dead it bring you back to life, now I don't know about you but after 320 years I think both of s would be quiete sick of it wouldn't we? no advantages just a damned curse bringing you back to life just as you wish to rest in peace that would annoy me I'm sure!!!

Vampires in D&D can actually reproduce sexually, producing what's known as a Dhampyr. The sources for this happening in Faerûn are very thin, however.
-
I would app for a Dhampyr.
VHOOR WHERE ARE YOU, HAVE SEX WITH MY FUTURE MOTHER PLZ.
-
I'm afraid not.
Vampires are undead.
They do not breed by conventional means. (I've never seen any canonical material to the contrary).
And certainly will not be breeding by conventional means here.More seriously and in regards to our supported sub-race, since it appears to be cropping up at least tangentially:
Yes, we have supported vampire PCs in the past and will no doubt in the future, however it requires understandably, a considerably excellent concept. In order to be helpful to anyone considering applying for said template, I'll confess that there were some miscommunications with previous players (for which I very much apologize again) of vampires on how exactly the DM team desired the creatures to be depicted.
Through some lengthy discussions we basically agreed upon the point that they should be depicted as the blood-drinking, monstrous horrors that they are. Subtle, elegant, but altogether monstrous nonetheless, beneath a veneer of intelligent civility.
Contentiousness of personal literary choices aside, think Stoker and to a lesser degree, Rice.
I hope that's useful. -

There's no canon FR material supporting the idea at all. The only mention of vampires breeding that I've seen referenced is a 4e generic D&D article in Dragon #371, which is hardly relevant to this discussion.

Simplest way to go with this IMHO would be a curse that tends to cause members of your line to come back as lessor undead with the additional twist of undead themed sorcery being all to common (Shadowmancer and necromancy spells spring to mind).
You could rp the fear of coming back wrong as a motive for your adventuring. Furthermore if your up for the app, you could ask the dm to put some undeath related curse on you. For example there was a sorcerer a few years back who sometimes turned into a confused zombie for a bit after casting for example.

It really has to be a curse, something undesirable. Being cursed into eternal life is like someone glowering at you as they buy you a Ferarri as punishment for making an enemy of them. Fair enough, that's one way of viewing vampires and other undead (just like lycans can be viewed as super-powered humans) but it's up to the player to RP out the monstrous side of it all, so that no one is left in any doubt that this is a creature that should not be allowed to live. Otherwise, what's the point? It really does just boil down to "human-but-better" unless you can find a way to live up to the cursed nature of these beings that brands them monsters rather than people.
Maybe a devil has a contract on your character's soul, and you are seeking means to cheat death because of it? (though keep in mind that being a vampire is just one way. You could make it all sorts of interesting by showing just how desperate your character is to cheat death by pursuing something that is not particularly attractive - such as eating the flesh of sentient beings, like a ghoul)

ami wishes to end the curse, eternal life get's pretty boring after 320 years don't you think? anyway still gotta think of some negative effects. But vampires are just lame, no offence rav, just now I think of it, it has been done, time for something else. she cheated death once, when her (half) sister killed her out of some rage she was sendt back without her … premission??
negative effect to if you can eat normally yet you're still starving at pretty much all the time, also I would find it pretty funny if a vampire wished to kill ami and she was just waiting, sitting on the table with a wine glass full of blood saying while taking a sip: "ah thirty three yeaes, perfectly aged"
(this could be your quote of the mosterous side lizerd man)
-
life getting boring? never!
the story is constantly changing, it is how you view it, it is a never ending source of entertainment, you just have to make sure you never get too attached to your pets..when they pass..mourn them, but not too long, keep the funny and happy memories, then move on to the next one..like a pair of beloved shoes!
*note: IS SO NOT A VAMPIRE (goes out in the daytime, does not sparkle, and can have holy water splashed upon face and it does not hurt..assuming you do not toss a bottle of it at her head)
**Barena Bresk was not a vampire, she was able to have twins, what she was is no longer important, but it can still be discovered in game as to what she was and why she was immortal (immortality is a illusion, it only lasts as long as you take care of it..one day someone is going to run a red light and smash your shiny Ferrari to bits)
-
oh, I normaly toss the bottle aswell, pardon my… misunderstanding ... ... ... not really if you're costantly hungry, wat good is that? half starving to death doesn't seem to have any advancements, or my stomage is just dumb but I doubt that. damn should've stated spoiler but who cares really?
**if I read a few comments back vampires could breed, not saying I ain't buying it I do, I do!
just... read everything before a post should be good advice my dear...
*I never saw twilight don't start with the glowing thing, real pro's have dark vision as far as that goes.
