So proud
-
Despite my slip up in my first real PvP in this server, I am proud to say that my RP was good enough that Nami was a catalyst to completely nullify a DM event coming up, but it also unified the region like Nami strived to do -anyway-.
XP on all of you nay sayers.
-
And I <3 all of you people who have stuck with it and helped me learn how things are done in this server! You're all awesome. I could go back to my epic level characters in other servers, but the rp here is -the bee's knees-. Thanks for all of your patience ^.^
LOVE YA'LL!

You killed Cassiel. I'm gonna hate you forever.

Can we insert a like button on the forums?

You killed my old man.
If I could only ban you murderers!!!
Cassiel. :(

So honestly, perhaps 2% of the player base really had a clue what was going on or what was about to happen - and maybe 0.5% actually participated in it.
The rest of us are left shocked and bewildered that such an event truly happened. I am left wondering what happened to the build up…
Why is it that only a few select people were able to assassinate such a high ranking NPC while others struggle with much less significant plots?
I just don't get it at all.
-
Maybe we just never really try?
BTW darn you Matthew going and dieing without getting permission from Cellina first. Left your poor little sister all alone. She went on a rampage in the swamp to vent.

Anyone can do it, go out and try.

Make it your goal to assassinate the Guildmaster of MG or something. Link it to the evil thread.
-
Why kill poor Caden? We all like him.
-
I'm so going to do it now.

I know how its done, I have been involved in similar before. I am always amazed how players and DMs can pull this off leaving a bewildered player base completely floored over night.
It's why I love CoA for being more entertaining than any TV show or game. :D
-
I didn't kill anyone >.> Crey is still alive T-T I just made allies who got -pissed- when something happened.
I -wish- I could have been part of that assassination, but it would have been bad form for me to participate after I was already involved in the whole thing in a different character.
As to why a select few were able to do it…You're not going to take a small army to "assassinate" someone. That changes it from assassination to assault and besieging. That probably wouldn't have worked XD
The reason everyone was in the dark was because it probably wouldn't have worked if everyone and their sister knew that there was a plot afoot.
As well, I have heard many people say that Cassiel was untouchable. Maybe if some of us would take the time to actually message the DM's and -ask- them, rather than spreading rumors like this, we'd get more assistance in our own plots.
These are my thoughts and regrets T-T I wish I had a bigger hand in his death...So epic you three madmen and women.

Being in the sheriffs faction i am amazed that some of the people involved managed to get through the door in the first place, but i wasnt there so dont know how it went down anyway.
with luck i might find something out in game…

This was the second assassination attempt, the first one failed, and resulted in the Everwatch Knights coming to the city. Too bad they didn't stick around. No NPC is untouchable.
Someone kill Kanthea, and then you'll see the REAL fun begin.

To be honest it was a small group of a player faction that went in with a plan. All of us were well respected and not deemed as a threat. I know there was a lot of communication with the DM team on the part of Lano since it was his push and we all went in planning to take it as far as it went should everything break down into chaos. It's not about simply wanting something it's about taking the steps both IG and with the DM's to come to an event they approve and you have a least a shot at achieving due to previous plotting and preperations. The rest is just hoping your IG allies back your play which we were glad to do for the man that led us.
9 times out of 10 I believe we would have failed but we all knew what the goal was as characters and fulfilled our roles. It will be something that sticks in my brain as I move onto my next character and take the lesson to heart as I try to become a better role player despite being too young to grow up with PnP.

Preach it brother! Oh wait, you're not a cleric anymore. We'll miss you Matthew! T-T

Have you ever tried to kill a diviner who never leaves her tower? >.> She's like an Arabellian Dispater.
