Diablo 3

Did anyone else play the open beta this weekend? I'd like to hear your opinions.
-
I need faster internet to download games. =(
-
Pretty terrible tbh.
-
AWWWWW YEAAAHHH!!!!
I liked it alot.
I'm really really not sure about the new skill system, or leveling up system.
Its been…. urg... simplified...................................
I hate simplification, it means less options.
Like, if I WANT to have a witchdoctor with 900 strength and five intelligence, I should be able to!!! DAMN IT! let me make weird characters!
Also dont quite get how your gonna switch between all your skills properly. Also not sure if there are as many different skills as in Diablo 2.
I'll have to see WHEN I GET IT ON THE DAY ITS OUT.

Loved it. Been on the closed beta for months now, played through it 1-13 on every class 2 or 3 times. Sick of the first bit of Act 1 by now, obviously, but.. just the idea of being able to soon go beyond that in a few days.. holy hell.
Can't. Freakin'. Wait.

I will indeed be going off the wire for a few days after Diablo 3 launches. Already have a group together and its pretty much going to be work and diablo and nothing else for about a week.
-
How many people are planning on D3'ing it up? And if so are you interested in being on a teamspeak? (I know most of the people on my TS are planning on playing it, so just curious if I'm going to need to up the # of slots or not.)

I must be the only one who's not interested in this game.
Played the first 2 for a couple of hours but never got into them.
-
Not interested really.
shrug

I played some of it back in 2010 at Blizzcon. It was entertaining, but Diablo was never a series I played when I was younger, so I don't have those tendrils hooked in. I love a good hack'n'slash style dungeon crawler, but Diablo never jumped at me.
I'm sure if I played it I'd love it, but I'm not going to in all likelihood.

I'm really really worried about the new skill and attribute system.
Seems too dumbed down to me, less scope to build bizzare characters. Not sure I like the kind of… none permanent system of selection of skills and such. Every character, could potentially be, any other character (of the same class) just by switching their skills around. Where is the uniqueness there?
Anyone else thinking this? Seems like only items will be the thing that sets your character apart from others, which sucks, IMO.

Did you not play Diablo 2? Cause…You could do the same thing there (reset skills/talents)...Not to mention the best classes skills and talents will be used by everyone across the net anyway...this ain't CoA.
I've sighted a poser.

I think they were talking about the people who don't want to always play cookie cutter archetypes. I've played Diablo 2 since it released in 2000, I was playing it off an on up until a few weeks ago. Sometimes, if I wanted to make a sorcerer with like 200 STR and buff the Fire Enchant skill for weapons, by gawd I would. So what if I only owned Normal and Nightmare, it was really fun to just do off the wall characters sometimes. Now you really can't. Ever.
It'll still rule, though.

yeah thats what I was on about Penguin. Every lvl 30 monk is the same as every other lvl 30 monk. I played Diablo 2 a lot, maybe not towards the end which is when they must have introduced skill resetting and stat point redistribution, because it wasnt available while I played, you took your skills, and stat points, and that was that, no changing them again later.
-
Yeah it was added later on…
But I really can't wait...Its the loot that makes yo character, not really the stats per se...God, I just love finding blues or cubing them and they come out even better than uniques...
Can...not...wait....the loot...calls me...5....days...

Umgggg….. the looooooooooooot! bounces up and down excitedly COME QUICKER DAMN YOU!

My computer had a stroke a few weeks back and Newegg has been insistent on sending me 3 DOA products (ram, processor, and mobo) which has taken forever to clear up.. I'm about to take my Xbox360 apart and convert it into a PC so I can play Diablo 3 for launch. ~_~
