Potion brewers

All comments are pertinent.

Only if they are from a knowledgeable source who knows the current situation they are commenting on.
Today I died a little inside. :(
I don't mean to be offensive FYI.
It just we've been making changes to the potion system over the last month, adding many more recipes, some of which allow you to brew potions with a greater profit–and comments on these RECENT changes are much more helpful than information from 3 months ago.
Pretty soon, I'll be adding in recipes for custom potions you can't even find in shops--only in quests currently. Recipes possibly for making poisons. Perhaps even recipes that call for rare and unique ingredients.
The system is pretty flexible and we can do quite a bit with it ultimately.

"Time waste" apart, brew potion is just sickening. I mean, the gold you make is sickening. Personally I was earning more than 1k a week. The last days, with the gnolls+grodd events, I earned something like 10k. Potions of less used receipes would be handy, but those will come with time.
I can give one sinmple advise, that is, don't take orders and then brew. Brew, and then take orders. That way people will not have to wait. As it is now, there are not many potions that can be brewed. Always have on you 10 of each kind, and advertise it. You'll be surprised how many more people would buy them if they didn't have to wait.
On a side note, this concerns wizards only. Brew potions for a cleric is much less useful. Things would change, for example, if there was a recipe to brew shield of faith potions at lvl 10.

...This sounds awesome. Particularly the poisons bit.

I'm just beginning to learn the basics of the new system, and I think it has potential.
One thing bothers me though: You cannot prepare bottles in advance. I either quest or brew. In the old system, I could cast the spell on an empty bottle and brew it when I had nothing better to do. It is not someting I cannot live with, but I have to be extra careful when to brew.
So far, the profit is not insanely good, but it keeps me in business and I make contacts with other PCs easily. That alone worths the feat, IMO.
Also, what are the chances that the cauldron gives me better results?

I suspect it to be zero. But I stopped playing my brewer since a while.
