Potential Mission: Rescuing Loyal Nobles
-
It is known that nobles that are loyal to the Crown remain in Tilverton
A noble rescued from the Griffon Hill should be able to provide us a list of those loyal
A likely back way into Tilverton through catacombs was discovered on the recovery mission a few days back
More information however is needed on where the catacombs exit in Tilverton but it should be possible for a group to enter and recover the loyal nobles.
I expect a distraction whilst they are in Tilverton would also be useful, Perhaps a probing distraction from the Eastern Marches

Ser Seshore has informed me there are already plans in motion by a serf to the local nobility. He didn't specify who. It would be fruitful to gather details.

Dame Drakesbane
I expect it would be Ser Cormaeril's Senior Retainer Vandern that has plans in motion.
Ser Cormaeril, if this is the case I would ask that at the very least these plans are shared with myself and Dame Drakesbane so Arcane advice can be offered.
Whilst I understand we do not wish plans leaking and I distrust some councillors others may have views others would not think of

Apprentice,
Once I have obtained all relevant information needed I shall indeed provide a briefing on my plans to both you and Dame Drakesbane, as well as my plans for handling Issacson.

Ser Cormareil.
I believe this may be impossible now, or at least far more complex then it needed to be.
With the collapse of the mines and inability to approach via the Wondergrange I do not see a way to approach undecteded and cause a distraction to allow infiltration.
I understand also that the way others were using to escape via the catacombs was collapsed, likely discovered after Talantras escape
Theoretically I suppose a teleportation into Tilverton would be possible but it requires knowledge of where you wish to go.
I would also think it likely the area could be warded from teleportation and there are certain energies that can throw teleportation off, I am not certain as conjuration is the subject I know least about but I think it likely that fiendish energy would likely affect it

Adrian opens the file for debate with the rest of the council
Councillors.
Do any of you have any ideas of how this could now be accomplished?
Could perhaps we swoop in on Wyverns or large birds if we can get a message to them to be at a set destination?
I believe such may be the wildwalkers area of expertise though.
-
I have already suggested that the paid for services of the archmage might be used to teleport us into Tilverton, maybe that is still possible?

Archer please read the file before commenting
I explained why teleportation is likely unfeasible.
The corruption from fiends in the area will likely cause the spell to go awry and off target. Plus it would be even less likely that teleporting out is feasible

I did. You suspect the area "might" be warded off, that is something that is uncertain. Maybe find out?
If the archmage was capable of closing an entire rift in the planes then i would guess that the prescence of fiends would not be such a challenge to hm as to you.

How do you propose we get out even if we get in?
Are you suggesting that the Archmage go with us?
Plus how do you suggest we discover if teleportation is possible. It's not like we can get close enough to Tilverton to find out due to the Wondergrange being inaccessible.

I must agree with the Apprentice, there is certainly a risk of teleportation magical going awry due to the infernal power at play.
In the worst instance, any attempting such may even find themselves arriving in the Hells rather than our own plane. Though that, I suspect, would depend how eroded the veil between planes has become.
I do believe I could get myself into Tilverton using appropriate combinations of illusion and transmutation magics.
Assuming I went out of uniform, I should hopefully be able to link up with my Father and Brothers. They would potentially be able to shed light on the matter.
The last conversation I had with my family before escaping Tilverton to join the Skulls, was for them to get in a position to observe, and where possible, undermine the machinations of Isaacson and his cronies.

Whilst extremely high risk, such would reap great rewards if sucessfull
If you are willing to accept that if you get caught there is very little we can do to rescue you if the Skulls are not willing to pay a ransom for your release Dall, I would advise such is the way we move forward

Little worth doing in life carries no risk. I am hopeful that my Family name might offer some reprieve from being murdered on sight.
I have more of a stake in this operation being successful than many others on this Council. My family and others I grew up knowing are behind Tilverton's walls.
However, I knew what I was getting into when I escaped Tilverton and signed on with the premier Mercenary company for this war.

At the early days of the war such have been much more feasible. I fear it is no longer the case. The means Ser Seshores used to escape, smuggling others before him have long been sealed shut.
If you believe you can rescue them however still, it would be of paramount importance. However, I would urge you to first use any connections you yet have to identify who and how many should be rescued before you make the attempt.

Did Ser Seshores not have a list he said he could provide?
If that is still an option it would be of value.
Adrian

Apprentice,
He did say he can attempt to put his knowledge to writing, but he also warned us that he could not be certain all are true loyalist to the crown, instead of faking such allegiances to catch spies in the midst of the Duke's forces.
It can still be attempted of course.
