Fer-de-Lance MAYBE merging with Obsidian Skulls

I went to parlay with the Obsidian Skulls and ensure they will not infringe on our contracts.
I was informed by one of their Skulls that the Company knows of us, and has interest in a merger. They would have Fer-de-lance join their banner, in exchange for access to their resources.
I would know each of your minds on this.

//This came from a PC, I have no idea if the Team is okay with this happening if we chose to do it? Many of us are at or near level 10, and are around a month or two old already, but the group is thematically very similar to Fer-de-lance. @Puffy

//This is a push which can be made ICly if you guys so desire, but as you say it could be hard. However, it is not impossible and in fact a reasonable journey. I will check with the rest of the team quickly, but feel free to explore it ICly

- Fer-de-Lance is not a major OP powergamer group that has just rushed to high lvls, they are excellent RPers and ICly this is a perfect Obsidian Skull powerplay to eliminate competition whilst boosting their numbers
- This would cause issues within the Skulls if they merge, as first Fer-de-lance fought the rats, now they are helping, and by joining th Skulls they would oppose them again
- Fer-de-Lance could try to have the rats rather than being hunted by the Skulls, be agents of the Skulls, if they are smart
- It is no way certain if all PCs in the PC faction would be interested in joining the Skulls, which could cause further conflict
- All in all, great story element, very Zhentarim move, and great pot stirrer
Note:
Could be it all falls flat, but the quest is if we as the DM team won't be opposed to the merge should it be pushed for by the players -

@forwhat said in Case File: Fer-de-lance:
The fer-de-lance have been active in Tilverton, and Arabel proper since before we were released from our contract. In the current climate, they have more contracts and contacts than we do. So far I know they are working with the church of Talona, and that they have a long term contract with the wildwalker Atok. There's probably more, I'll update this file when I've learned more.
One of their members (they have no leader, and all have equal standing) had the gall to ring our bell, and express his displeasure at our operations. What he wanted was peace between us. What I offered him was something I believe to be to both our advantages. Warring with the fer-de-lance would be costly, and difficult. Meanwhile, we desperately lack an elite core we can call upon for our contracts. And so I unveil project Obsidian Lance.
I will personally sponsor every member of the fer-de-lance's entry into our order, in order to fully merge our companies. We'll take on their contracts, and they'll begin working under us, in an elite unit known as Obsidian Lance. As a group they seem tight knit, so I believe them retaining some identity of their own will help them acclimate better to our company. More importantly, it may help in negotiations to bring them into the fold.
Known members of the fer-de-lance:
Luka Rask. Dour warrior with a skull mask in black armor. (I almost mistook him for one of our own)
Claire: Archer in a black cloak, and a tunic with red highlights. Seems friendly enough.
Darion: An archer in a black cloak with purple highlights. Seemed less chatty than Claire.
As a sort of mercenary co-op, they'll be deciding as a group whether or not they wish to join. I'll speak with each of them in turn, and update this case file with any new developments.

If we are ok with it AND it goes through, I would like to aim for the following:
- PC faction becomes part of Skulls, Lance forum posts moved over to Skulls
- Fer-de-Lance PCs who decides to join all gets title "Obsidian Lance" and a renamed silver weapon each (Crafted silver item, renamed), plus 100 prestige
- Loheir gets title "Supreme Negotiator" and a renamed silver weapon (Crafted silver item, renamed), plus 150 prestige

No objections? Got 4 votes saying yes

if it's IC for this to happen, and the players want it to happen, that's fine I guess

Said no objections from the DMs as of yet incase anyone chips in with concerns, but this way icly they can go ahead

If it makes sense ICly and the players want this I see no reason to not let it happen
