File: Ma'Crag

Ma'Crag is a half orc Dawnsquire
Unfortunately he has taken to threatening death on members of the Precept and any he thinks is a sorceror.
For now I will ask the House of the Morning to watch him and discipline him
If he harms innocents though he will be dealt with

I have sent the following to Eveningstar and recieved a reply
https://nodebb.cityofarabel.com/topic/58526/letter-tass-and-maire
It will be investigated if he has attacked anyone and if so he will be charged
Whilst I believe it is in our interests and benefits the region to have close ties to Eveningstar their more zealot members do not have free reign to attack who they please

Ma'Crag is dead.
Eveningstar put a bounty on him and Adelaide decided to go after it.
I found her, Julianne and some pagan savage over Ma'Crags subdued form and lots of conjured scorpions and various animals.
Despite Adelaides desire to become a Knight it seems duelling and behaving honourably and challenging someone she could likely best in single combat to such is beyond her.
The pagan is also trying to claim any glory from her.
Most shameful
@apollo2019 said in Announcement from the Wildwalkers:
Let it be known that the abomination known as Ma'Crag has been butchered and burnt.
Seems his dark masters didn't give him bear-proof armor.
This is the fate for all who follow a path unnatural. Death.

You should at least try and salvage something from this Adelaide
Negioate something favourable from Eveningstar for the Crownguard for your part in getting their criminal for them

It would seem your missing a lot of context Dominic.
I went to Eveningstar to talk with Julianna about how to pray properly to Lathander, and sadly found she was in no state to give instruction. We spent sometime bonding over our mutual loss before finding out the Ma'Crag had a bounty on him, becuse he ate a Dawnbringer that had been doing his 'last rites' after he was executed in the Eveningstar way.
She was planning to do the rash and stupid thing of trying to take him out all by herself so I talked her back into sanity. Eventually Nathan the Druid informed us that Ma'crag was by the west gate, so we went after him.
As this was a battle to stop deeper sorrow, I saw little reason to pull my punches to look better in the bardic tales and hit him with my full might. We took him to the House of the Morning, at Julianna's request, and there was a lengthy argument on matters of dogma between Ma'Crag, he escaped using light based magic with the help of the 'Mouth of Lathander.' Fye and Dominic join us at this point.
I chased after him with a few others and the druid managed to land the finishing blow. At which point Ma'crag body cracked open and Pit Fiend escaped from him, that claimed to the 'Mouth of Lathander'.
We fought it, and Julianna was struck down, and then it escaped. Fye and I burned the remains of Ma'crag while the Aster took Julianna's body to the House of Morning. When she was raised by the High Dawnlord, she explained that in death Ma'crag had sacrificed himself to save Julianna's soul.
On matters of honour with the druid, I care not, he landed the finishing blow and that is that.
On rewards I suggest to Blueblood Florent that perhaps this a good time to start chatting with Eveningstar authorities about letting us act in Eveningstar with more authority, I will of course leave the details to her noble blooded and Divine Right blessed judgement, but this seems a great opportunity to get our foot in the door.

@dracos @V-Rage
I would not point fingers at anyone in regarding to fighting honorably, Dominic. You fought Conrad fournto one, using mind magic, because you were too frightened to fight him directly.Adelaide has done the Crown a great service, and I shall be honored to see if we cannot push our boundaries further.
Honestly Dominic if you spent even half the time you waste focusing on belittling Adelaide, on actual matters of importance…

I have presented and offer to the Church of Morning. The Bishop allows us a bit more free reign. Could be allowed to chase criminals who move into his domain. Or something similar. In exchange the Crown uses the laws of heresy and official churches, and makes his Lathanderite teachings the official of the land, protecting them against heresy.-Sabriel
