Investigation: The Giants of the Druids
-
It is in our interests to find out what the druids offered their giants led by the shaman Smash Nose.
I very much doubt the giants would fight for free and we do not want the druids offering the giants lands that are not thiers to barter with
Ursula will be questioned on this matter

I have spoken with Ursula.
She claims the giants have been promised no land and instead simply desire the chance to face a glorious death in combat against the beholders.
I'll have to research giants in the library and see if she is telling the truth or not
Dominic
-
I looked in the libary and was told the following
@prof-misclick said in Dominic researching giants:
The archivist looks confused as giants are not known for their finer points of negotiation.
“Wealth, survival, status and habitations like any thinking creature likely. More than that talk to a ranger or someone who’s dealt with them. Write a book and bring it in. “
I'll have to speak with Juunen and see if he knows what was promised to the giants, as Ursula has not been helpful so far
Dominic
-
I spoke with Juunen
He claims the giants anwered the Hierophants call and have been promised nothing, I know Juunen and other druids have been sworn by a dwarven spirit to slay Smash Nose after the war which should scatter the giants but this is still not ideal

Izereth has written to us, whilst her aim is clearly to turn people on the druids I am concerned with the lack of loyalty the druids display to their majesties, Especially since they push tolerances to the limit with their monstrous hordes
@spiffymeister said in Wildwalkers [At the entrance to the "War camp"]:
My my,
Izereth, you seem to fail to understand something.
We hold neither allegiance, alliance, service, or care to the Queen upon her recently restored throne, we hold no care for her fate nor the fate of this Kingdom.
We help, because it is convenient to do so, as we would hinder, if it became necessary to do so.
You lashing out at Wards and stoking the fires of Planar warfare only lend credence to the need for your destruction and the return to the cycle. The Hive will be destroyed, and this cancerous tumor on the Prime will be removed as is only proper.
Hierophant Granite
I suggest we remind the druids loyalty to the crown is a must
Dominic

Dominic,
You can remind them all you like. Druids have been tepid friends and enemies on and off for centuries, often working beside communities but as often against. They can vanish into woodlands and groves and bring to bare powers that would prove vastly detrimental to the welfare of the Kingdom.
I have it on good authority that they are expending considerable power to maintain their front against the Beholderkin and while the Hierophant's arrogance is frankly alarming...
The King is covering his actions for the time being.
After this conflict, we can seek a reckoning, but for now, they are serving Crown interests.
