The Scarlet Syndicate & The Greywatch
-
So it would appear the Scarlet Syndicate are indeed cultists, necromnacers and attacked Eveningstar again with the aid of Clark of the Greywatch and Boom the stray caster.
A complete reenactment of the chaos of the day, but on a grander scale than any we could have imagined. Undead risen in hordes number in the thousands, hulking forms of creatures of necromancy built, that could not have been done in a single day. The lives lost in the battle, the level of necrotic residue left behind. This is a disaster of a scale we've not witnessed since the White Witch.
Not only that, but the Scarlet used the same ritual as seen on hulking meat golems that attacked Tilverton, bringing more questions as to how knowledgeable the Greywatch was in these matters and how far the Emerald lord's influence has sunk in. It is at this moment that I motion for a thorough investigation of the Greywatch be conducted and any magical contraband removed from their holding and turned over to the Precept Arcanum.
This cannot happen again.
-
Since you obviously only hear what you wish to let me make it clear to you Naresh.
Clark quit the Greywatch earlier in the day and left his badge and equipment in storage before leaving the barracks.
This has been confirmed by the Watchers on duty at the time.
I brought Clark down myself in Eveningstar for being a traitor before he and the gnome escaped in the chaos.
Any attempt by the Precept to enter the Greywatch barracks with Ill intent will be met with force

So Clark, quit the day of the attack. So that wipes all responsibility from the efforts he made to assist the Scarlets in their actions, not once, but twice. You defended the actions of the Scarlet and Clark that day, and these events bring the reasoning behind it all into question. Unless you've something to hide Bryce, the integrity of the Greywatch is brought into question.
Soppi was ousted from the council, for less.
One would consider if you should retain your seat for the destruction your interference and negligence aided in bringing about.

Enough on all sides. This bickering stops here and now. We shed blood together against a great darkness. We have a threat emerge that has escaped our notice for too long. This strife ends now! Only together in the light will We prevail. Naresh you and yours given your expertise in magic I ask you gather what knowledge you can of the rituals and the magic used in this level of necromancy and what can be done to undo it quickly. Bryce the watch has eyes and ears everywhere so gather us info and any leads possible. Only together in the light will We stand against this darkness. Lathander bless you all for your service in defense of Eveningstar. Do not loose sight of our true enemy now. When peace is returned and the people are once again safe in their homes then you can claw at each other until then act like the men I know you can be.

Bryce,
Deception can be a tool. Self deception however, is merely idiocy. You and yours need to accept that you carry some of the blame, for what happened last night. You should have been as vigilant and persistant in looking into Clark, as you are against everyone else.
You ensured that the Scarlet Dragons was allowed back into the Realm, because the evidence to prove their guilt did not exist. So they were allowed to finish their disgusting errand, without any lawenforcing body breathing down their necks.Either the laws and the enforcement of them needs to be amended, or the Greywatch, infamous vigilantes, should be ensuring that justice is served, regardless of what the laws says. You did neither. You crave the power and authority. You relish in it. But with power comes responsibilities, and you and yours created a monumental screw up, the size of the biggest undead giant I have ever seen.
Sometimes, what sounds good on paper, or in your head, does not work when it is exposed to the realities of the world. It is time that you decide, what purpose and what the future should be for you and your ilk.
- Are you the investigators, and operational arm of law and order in Arabel?
- Are you a shadowy, secretive group who see justice carried out, regardless of what the law dictates?
Right now, you are neither. It was -I- who had to lead the charge against the damned Scarlets, while you were telling me no. Us charging, is what saved Eveningstar. Had we waited, the entire village would have been lost.
I state this, not for the recognition, but because of all people there, it should have been YOU who wanted to ensure justice was served, and had acted accordingly. Not a knife ear ranger from the Kings Forest.-Adrienne Hawthorn

While the bickering is entertaining at times..
We must remember how important it is to keep our majesties informed. Or in other words...
What the hell happened and who answers for it?

A red mist began flowing from the Stormhorns, I arrived well after defenses had been erected. The Dawnlord Jadzia, Awoken Alain and Councilor Adrienne had made a call for aid, but it received little response beyond Councilor Bryce and a far later arrival Brother Shadow..
I was tasked with the defense with the defense of the rear ward alongside Bryce, when battle was heard, Bryce left to investigate the battle and I was left to defend it alone. Unfortunately this was the moment Clark and Boom attacked from invisibility, using wands to dispel any protections I had while attempting to hold me with wands. With the combined attack from Clark, Boom and an undead Grey render I was rendered unconscious.
I awoke to a Dawn knight healing my wounds and pointing me toward the second ward, it was at this time that Brother Shadow arrived and shortly afterwards I was relived from guard by Lord Myrkyr. Shadow and Myself moved to regroup with the others sent ahead into the Stormhorns, where we encountered an army of the damned.
A massive hulk of twisted bone and scales clothed in scarlet marched toward us, but ultimately was warded from attack and we were forced to push past to disrupt the ritual.
The first ritual site was the Stormhorn's cemetary, wreathed in enough energy to become visible in the very air around us, this was confirmed by Dawnlord Jadzia to be supported by a secondary ward and we moved west into the forest from which the undead marched.
Inside the forest, the Scarlet Jack had laid claim to the lands calling himself "Viceroy" and populating it's defenses with the undead. A massive ziggurat was the source of the rituals and once we had fought through encountered The Scarlet's Jack and Rend, though Rend had been hidden by magic prior to the opening salvo of spells. With our way blocked by undead and stuck behind a choke point. The battle itself was swift.
Upon awaking I found the Scarlets gone, as were Clark and the animated corpse of Boom. The ritual left behind was a near replica of magics used to raise the flesh mounds that attacked Tilverton, which raises the question if Clark had known of these events in advance, and for how long he'd been in league with them.
The Scarlet's creation was eventually brought low by the Dawn knights defending Eveningstar, and Lord Myrkyr arrived shortly after our defeat to assist us. Jack's reasoning behind the attacks appears to have been a matter of ego. Being called Crimson instead of scarlet, not being allowed a seat on the council and not receiving recognition as heroes of Bospir at least at surface level.
It is likely these men have given themselves over to the Emerald Lord, or are using techniques gleamed from the entities rituals.
Those are the events as I witnessed them, likely the others may fill in the rest I was not present or conscious for.

This pretty much summarizes the events in question. I held on to my counciousness long enough to rebuke Jack and his men . Though it did little for me though when asked who to sacrifice Brother Shadow attempted to point at myself and Bryce. Whether or not he knew of clark is a mute point given Bryce fought along side us the whole way and shed blood to protect Eveningstar and even attempted to strike blows at Clark himself. This infighting must stop if we are to see Arabel rise above this darkness. Too long chaos clouds the minds and has us at each others throats. Eveningstar still stands given the small few who answered the bells calling for aid. We will not go quietly and we will not bow to the evils of the world. The light is Eternal and we will see it cover the land and purge the evils of the land. So choose as we need to be united and face these demons hand in hand whether we like each other or not.

A few hours before the attack Clark was seen leaving his badge and other equipment in the barracks before making a sending claiming he had left the Greywatch and was joining the Scarlets.
The rest of the details follow Naresh and Jazdias accounts.
I will note that in the combat in Eveningstar when I saw Clark attacking with the gnome Boom I brought Clark down with a spell. But the gnome bested me with a large number of icy scrolls and both were able to flee while we were wounded

A few days prior to the attack on Eveningstar, Clark sought out the vampires fighting the Emerald lord, and sought to forge an alliance between the two organizations. I believe Levi on the same mission, but he and Mikul were hindered from finding out this information by others present.
Clark has also tried to make Mikul burn down an Arabellan barrack, so that Mikul could impress the Black Dragon, and get closer to revealing its identity.
It took me all of 30 minutes asking around to find this out. I am no spymaster, and use very little time on politics. But if thirty minutes revealed this, I imagine it is only the tip of the iceberg on what kind of shit Clark was really up to.
As to the attack, the only thing left to note, is that the charge on the undead forces was the key to our success. When I suggested it, some hesitated. But I am glad the Council of 12 could finally show its worth, by taking on such a monstrous enemy together. Except Ezri who was occupied elsewhere, the entire Council fought as brothers and sisters against a common foe. We let the Lathanderites protect the town, while we focused on finding a way to defeat the source.
