Black Tower Expedition

I had hoped to allow Drago to handle this report, it is his brain child, but he can also attach his more informed recollection of events to the record when he's time. Those involved were (Gura, Nethki, Trystan, Claudia, Levi, Faryne, Ezri, Naresh, Krayt)
We entered into the sewer system by a hole beneath the tower itself, repelling down we encountered several indigenous slimes before moving on deeper into a cave system further below the sewers. Inside we encountered spiders swathed in shadow and more large cubes.
This cave system had two entries that were immediately apparent, I shall break them up into two groups. The Prison, and The Compound.
The Prison
The first area we entered was a magical prison for creatures of extreme danger, our entry was dangerous from the very start as the prison itself appear to be self-destructing. We ran through encountering several entities that we dispatched, and one that may require some dealing with.We encountered, An Ever Regeneration Giant Mummy, A Stag Beetle brood mother the size of a Bullete, a Murder Golem, a Undead Beholder tyrant, and one Hydra. Of all these, it is the Hydra which managed to survive and escape into the sewer systems after the prisons collapse and self destruction. Nothing was gleamed from this beyond what we had already assumed. The tower was failing and it's wards no longer sufficient to hold it's dangers.
The Compound
The War wizard compound was the second area we entered after escaping from the collapse of The Prison. It's wards also damaged by the sheer weight of the tower sinking into it, some still remained, though they served only as anti-magic fail safes. During this we discovered signs of a powerful wizard using magic to survive the collapse of the tower, powerful enough to leave lasting abjuration effects in the exact spot of their castings. It was here that we also encountered Mossmere Eskil's familar, left behind to guard the Prison of Archmage Raugobash. The Familiar eventually left to retrieve it's master, and we spent the time offered to remove the wards to inspect the prison in more detail. Ezri's instincts aided heavily in it's removal.
Upon entering we found a font of pure energy so powerful it glowed with a brilliance that was blinding, a stream of the weave itself. Several entities of the weave had been created in the prison due to the saturation of arcane energies in the cell and after a taxing battle they were repelled with the aid of Mossmere Eskil. It would appear that the Archmage was not in the prison when Eskil came upon it and had the wards raised to prevent the arcane energies from escaping.
That concludes matters from my level of expertise with the subject, nothing of significance was found, I assume Mossmere had already carted away anything of real significance.

It is most curious that you came upon the prison, when Gondegal first claimed power it was said that the entire prison was leveled to the ground and from its remains the tower was rebuilt. There was no element of cells, magical creatures in cages, nor hints of War Wizards anywhere in the tower. In fact, the tower was a beautiful and elegant building. It is a shame House Mossmere failed to share this information, but perhaps they judged it too.. delicate.
