I've been incredibly busy with work lately so I haven't been paying close attention to the forums. So Imagine my surprise when I find out yesterday that there are numerous threads detailing:
A change in level range for CoA's v5 (not for v6, as was discussed). A change in the death penalty for v5 (not v6, as was discussed). New starting level for the amount of gold we begin with (13k, you fucking serious?).Now, I am a reasonable man, and If these were merely discussions, I might be willing to let it slide, but however, Puffy has already built a new starting area with all the changes point 1 and 3 will describe. This is incredibly frustrating when you change core server mechanics without the full input of the DM team. The sort of frustration you see when you add a new team member without having cast a vote. The kinda thing that really gets under your skin.
So I talked with Mr Moloch, and frankly, he was an incredibly rude bastard about the whole thing. Telling me that it was good for the entire server and such and such and that if I prefer an action oriented server I should go punt myself back over to EFU if I opposed healthy changes to the server culture. That CoA was about story telling and continuing on in a condescending fucking manner. Not the point I was trying to make, but I got the point you're a rude fucking asshole and put words in my mouth.
Well! The shoe is on the other foot now. I changed the module password. It is hereby held hostage until the following demands are met. Hearty thanks to Zool for helping me out with this.
I am named Head DM. You take yourself to whatever shit hole corner you crawled out of in January. That the v6 mod you're working on is turned over to the DM team with all areas loaded.Now, I realize I don't have have admin access on discord, but I fee like a number of players agree with my sentiment that you're a fucking jerk who often casts anyone's arguments who don't agree with yours in the worst possible light and discredits not only their position, but their character as a person. Players on discord are encouraged to change their name to "[Name]UpWithSpiffy". A show of solidarity and support.
I hope each of you strongly considers what is best for the server. Me, or some guy who is a Social Justice Warrior and kills debate and conversation even when it is completely legitimate.

I'm banning Spiffy today. While I'm really disappointed in Zool, and hope he'll come talk to me about this whole situation, Spiffy has been a spasmodic idiot since I came back in December and I'm constantly fixing scripts he breaks in the server and dealing with constant complaints that the guy just makes OP fights and randomly attacks people with dragons with stupid names from the immature anime cartoons he watches.
So as of this afternoon, I was able to get in contact with Echo who actually hosts the module and we regained control of everything and are in the process of removing Spiffy's access. Those DMs loyal to me will be remaining onboard for the current module in v5 and onto the shift to v6. Spiffy's main problem is he wanted us to go to an adult themed server with an action arena to cater to "all play styles, even adult ones". He's very disappointed that Second Life just isn't as popular as it use to be and he was banned from Sinfar last month for "excessive violations of standards".
Right now, its alright to interact with Echo, Puffy, and Arkham. They are remaining loyal, I have some serious doubts about Captain Fantastic and Bowser right now and need them to speak with me. Their accounts are temporarily banned from the game and module access. Zool, I'm actually in your neighborhood this week for a conference, we are going to meet up and have a talk.
