Retaining players/Lower Numbers

I already posted a suggestion about mechanics, so I'll also add something about how I feel about the server.
When I log on to coa, I log on to get away from rl stress. That means I'm primed and prepped to have fun, in a fantasy world. Fun nerd shit to be blunt. The most fun I have is with dm events. I don't think there has been one that I didn't enjoy. I just think there needs to be more of them. Smaller ones. Throw some low level quests at newb pcs. Hell, even possessing an npc during a quest and doing something weird, like that slender man guy being all creepy… that's some cool ass, simple spice. Doesn't require much prep I think.
Higher levels, less deaths. I'm actually decent at not dying unless going up against super npcs (like Hardcastle i.e) let's try to give a challenge to players, but at the same time... I really don't want to spend extra time re-leveling a pc who loses 3 or 4 levels. I'm here to have fun, perhaps have a challenge and potential for death-but it should one or the other, either my pc is 100% dead or is alive and well (and not suffering weird amnesia aka feat/spell loss. Come on, that stuff just doesn't go away, even after a near death experience ). I'd be fine with negative level loss or ability loss or even hp loss- signifying my character being near fatally wounded and recovering from whatever severe beat down he just received. Whatever loss there is, it could scale depending on level and severity. Or be the same across all levels, but longer the higher level you are. Maybe this could leave to rp potential, guy comes in to cleric and they rp the medical side of the long term care. If dms see this, people rping being wounded? Maybe shorten the ability loss timer and throw some exp to both parties.
Like I always say- I'll always come back to coa. There isn't a server out there that you can just hop on so easily and jump right into the setting. It can be frustrating some times, but usually the feeling is passing and I keep coming back for more.
I just hate spending my time doing tedious tasks over and over again.

I have personally seen 15 new people quit due to the high respawn costs
The other part is it is difficult for a newer players to get involved, unless dm events have level restrictions

Remove the focus on PVP. Please.
I come here to RP and have fun, not to be tormented by a multitude assholish characters that are there just to force conflict. I usually end up taking a break when I log on only to find that I can't stand 90% of the characters currently on.Not to be completely negative, I love most of you guys :D

Focus on PvP? On CoA?
Are we playing on the same server?I love you guys, but CoA is a bit of a low-conflict hugbox which I enjoy playing to get away from all the EfU PvP sometimes. And it does that well.

Aside from the EfU part, this.

Now have had many people ignoring the thread rules so locking the thread, some feedback/questions from the DMs side will be coming up in the near future.

"Focus more on fun, than challenge" <-- See this? That's it, right there.
CoA2 was pretty crazy power wise but one thing it did extremely well was the focus on fun. You had an idea? You ran with it, no matter how silly it may have been. DMs did weird and wacky spur of the moment events, like maze runs/scavenger hunts and the community loved it.
