The quests that no one ever does.

Defence of Durmoth, I did this once on Tanivek with Ibmi, we had a very decent party, 2 tanks 2 flankers a buffbot and 2 archers. We almost all died a few times, I spent maybe 2000 gold surviving and the reward was something around 400-500 and no loot.
The quest was fun as hell but I'm probably not touching it until the rewards are adjusted a bit.
I did this once….isn't useful. Especially when the loot rewards were turned up well after Tarnivek died.

Love that quest but haven't done it in the new version. I'd love to try to get a group to do it again

It's a much harder version of orc defense. I like that style of quest.
There was a server once-upon-a-time that was one of many attempts by disgruntled coa players to make their own PW–--It had a siege quest where you defend a multi-layered mountain from all sides, with catapaults and shit on those varying levels. The goal I think, was to make sure the flag at the top didn't get taken by the orcs, or something.
Was a ton of fun.

Yeah Awesomeman, that was a great one. You had to defend the king and what not. Though I think all the Catapults and add ons would be too much, I think we could take some Ideas from it. Maybe have some NPC's to fight with you too.
-
Why? There's catapaults that used to work on Durmoth.

If that's the case, I'll shut my mouth. I don't know how much time and effort certain things take to script. I would run a quest like that as much as possible… It's something you can do repeatedly without getting bored and metagaming the same secret rooms and what not. It's just a blatant fight for your life.

catapults seem to la like hell because they are similar to projectile traps
