Wasted autofeat

Or do.
(Fighter kits are for single-class fighters, aren't they?)
-
They are. And I am against the idea. But that's off topic here.

Probably wouldn't be pure class, as it wouldn't be front loaded.
-
I don't know what you mean, but I'm very glad to hear that!
-
You could make them like the monk kits were the character must have more or an equal number of levels then every other class level

Companion feat seems perfect right now, as waiting for 6th level to get your companion was… meh. If any feat is kinda wasted is dual weilding for pure rangers. Damage gain is minor, attacking with a 1d6 weapon for -2 ab, considering you need a dex based (less str) character to effectively wear light armor without major ac loss. No ranger uses that, everyone goes ranged, or shield-weapon, or two hander and str based with medium armor. It 'd be much better if instead of dual weild which equals to two feats (ambidexterity and TWF without any dex requirement admitedly) rangers would be able to pick any other two fighter feats to compliment range, or any other fighting style, maybe as part of a kit instead of directly picking bonus feats.
Actually there is an effective way to play a duel-wield ranger in fact, I played one, and he did decent for what he was.

In that case -I- couldnt make it work ever… Which makes me curious on how it can be done. If it has to do with how to build the character or what very specific equipment one happens to find makes a world of difference. I mean high bonus damage elemental shortswords can give a great boost, but good luck finding such (unless things changed drastically). I was only talking about building the character with the simple equipment one can find in Kest Brothers.
Dual weilding for the sake of dual weilding is easy, just pump dex to get a mediocre AC and survive, but damage is little to none (especially if you meet anything with DR). Sorry for quotting, I do not mean to doubt anyone, I really want to know how you did it. PM if it derails the thread.
Also, ranger kits is awesome news!!!
