Pen-and-Paper Game?
-
I tried to do this a few years ago, but it kind of fell through…
Would anyone be interested in doing a traditional Pen-and-Paper D&D game, online? There is a program (Virtual Table Top) called MapTools which is quite versatile in simulating an around-the-table type environment.
If this happens, it will likely be D&D 3.5 (Core Rules only) for simplicity and familiarity. Possibly every other weekend or so...
I would REALLY like to get some DMs in on this so they get to be on the other side for once, but anyone that's interested will be accepted (within reason... 4-6 players).

try roll 20, and i'd be willing i'm more used to pathfinder then 3.5 these days
I can try my hand at dming but as i said i'm more used to pathfinder these days
-
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Also Roll20 is very good, I would highly recommend checking it out.
Edit: I am available for this pretty much every day that isn't Monday, when I play in my friends 13th Age game.

Online pnp can be quite fun, though the problem I have found is that sometimes it can be quite hard to coordinate a time that everyone can attend regularly.
That being said, I would love to play some pnp Shadowrun online but no one ever seems to want to do that :(
-
i like shadowrun. I've heard people can use programs like teamspeak so they can chatter without having to type everything all the time, but that can lead to crosstalk and noise and distraction but yeah good for multitasking.
-
I'd surely be interested, if my timezone allows me the chance :)
-
I'd love to do it
-
Okay, since this has a few people interested in it, I figured I'd get started.
D&D 3.5 (core rules only), 1st level, heroic alignments (meaning, you can be any, but it needs to be HEROIC… if you can justify CN or Evil, then fine--otherwise stick with something else); max HP, max starting gold.
Virtual Table-top: MapTools v.1.3.b89 (Video Tutorial)
Character Sheets: The Tangled Web RPG Profiler
TIME: Saturday, 2PM Central; 8PM GMTFirst session (tomorrow, if enough people see this in time, otherwise next week) will be Character Creation and back-ground development.

Well i'm new at dming very new but i do have this adventure path laying around
Rise of the Runelords
If your interested i need help setting it up but here's the players guild
-
I was planning on DMing it myself, but wouldn't be opposed if you had your heart set on it.
-
Cancel tomorrow afternoon. I forgot that I have something to do when I wrote that. Next week. Post here if you're interested in playing.

count me in
-
We've got 5 players, not counting myself as DM: Delanish, HellzYeah, ArabelsPhoenix, falonthas, & a non-CoA friend who wants to get into gaming. There's room for one more to jump in without breaking anything.
One of y'all has identified what they'd like to play (a druid), but other than that, it's open-season. Of course any of this can change between now and Saturday. I do recommend at least 1 of each of the 4 basic types to endure a well-rounded, and survivable, experience.
Character creation & first adventure: Saturday 5 April 2014, 2pm Central time/8pm GMT. Can everyone make this?
-
I'd be up for it. That's 6am Sunday morning but I'll set an alarm if you'll have me.
-
5am for me, probably a bit hard for me to get on at that time with my working hours. Though feel free to proceed without me :)
-
that's midnight for me can we make it more like
5pm EST? -
Unless I got my math wrong, pushing forward two hours will put it at 4pm CST/5pm EST/10pm GMT (all Sat evening); making it 2am (Sun morn) for Delanish and 8am for wildling. Objections?
-
I'm an hour ahead of EST. i usually crash around 1-3am
-
I know it's off-topic now, but I'd love to try something like this, if you (or someone) bothered to run a single occasion adventure, or one split in two parts…
I'm learning DMing, and it would likely be a precious experience.

8am perfect for me
