any of you lot had a look at this yet?

it is the new game from Bethedsa Games, looks like it is going to be quite good, repeat playable as lots of solutions to the story line.
-
Bethesda? Pretty bad.
-
Speaking of first-person uh… stabbers; anyone have a favorite for someone who hasn't played anything since Thief 1? I was looking at this game and Assassin's Creed 2. Doesn't have to be brand-new- like I said; haven't played one in long while.

@Broken:
Bethesda? Pretty damn good.
So like a steampunk Skyrim?
I'm sold.

Finished this pile of bethesda shit in about six hours. I liked the setting and the gameplay wasn't too bad, aside from the overpowered "void" powers that made everything waaaaay too easy.
Overall, pretty glad I didn't pay for it. :D
-
is there a reasonable degree of repeat play to it, or is the story too linear whatever?
-
It's linear and mission-based, but the missions are quite large and provide more than a couple of ways to do them. If you miss Thief or want a gritty and somewhat unique steam-punk romp, I'd get it, but I just don't think it's worth sixty bucks for how short it is.
-
I've just started playing it and now that I'm getting used to the mechanics I'm having a blast. The setting is pretty interesting, the multiple pathways to each mission are fun to find, and the powers are pretty neat as well. I find its taking me a decent amount of time to complete the missions, but I'm making sure I collect almost everything along the way.

This game isn't actually made by Bethesda, they're just he publishers, it's made by Arkane Studios, you know, the guys that made Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah?
And unlike those two games it's not insanely buggy.
Anyway, if you take your time exploring each level, and actually sneak around trying to be stealthy and non-lethal instead of just blazing through killing everything, the game actually ends up being really long, however if you play it more overtly it can pretty easily be beaten in a few hours.
If you're going to play it lethally, I recommend cranking up the difficulty a bit, like Gunblade said, a lot of the lethal powers and weapons are very, very powerful. -
Went through it unseen and passively.
Took me the better part of four days to finish it and collect only half the stuff.

Exactly, this is NOT a Bethsoft game, people! If it was, it'd be a lot better. 8)
