See you guys - Magali Blackrobes

The highest duty of any villain is to be taken down by a hero. That's why we play villains! We take part in the great conflict, and is in all stories, good, eventually, wins.
Having played all sides of this, I'd have to say, this doesn't always happen in CoA… Many times it seems like, "Bad guy wins, roll end credits..." and you're left saying "WTF was that?" ...IMO Magali was an awesome villain... if the player cheated, that just sullies her awesomeness.

I know nothing about this, and I've never played any great chars (It isn't likely I ever will either.), no great conflicts…
But I think cheating is a bit more then logging out. It's unpolite, yes. Perhaps unfair even. But cheating? We don't have to be harsh with someone who's already disappointed and upset. -
I was not involved directly with taking Magali down with my character, but I did get to see some of the after scenes. I think a certain DM deserves some propers for playing out those final scenes as Magali to give the characters that worked for her end some closure. Even from my limited perspective on this matter, I saw a lot of behind the scenes work go into Magali's capture from several characters. As a villain I believe Magali did the job of getting players involved in somehing. What happened after her capture is unfortunate, but I happens. The DM stepped up and filled in beautifully.

They didn't cheat in the sense of breaking rules. They did cheat (unfairly removed opportunity from) other players (and themselves) out of RP and story. Different definitions.
In either case, this is sort of drug out. We would like to see assombracao stay, the community would as well. What's happened has happened and what should have been did not become. It is what it is (as they say).
Now, let me clarify, we do have rules against logging out to avoid capture/death – but this wasn't logging out with the intent to avoid those; it was logging out of frustration.
