D3 Topic 2 - The Progression!
-
Not sure what servers are down? US ones been up all day. You can play cross servers you know, Azzy knows how to do it.
-
Little disappointed with the game's itemization so far. Most items have very similar stats, unique items are boring with nothing "unique" about them. I miss Diablo 2's loot, but I enjoy Diablo 3's gameplay and quests. I hope they can fix it soon.
-
I'm just finding getting -good- loot nearly impossible. I haven't found anything good in like most of hell mode. I can't even play inferno mode by myself because my loot sucks so bad I can't survive. -_-
That said, Me and Ace are level 60 and in Inferno. He's found 2 legendaries - a staff and umm I forget and he's too lazy to post his screenshots like I keep nagging him to. It's HARD. But fun - except I get all ragey and stop playing when I die like 10 times in less than 2 minutes. <_<
Screenshots people! Post screenshots!

Well, due to its enhanced gameplay, something had to take a hit. The thing is, all of the classes are typically balanced as in they don't wreck the game anymore (ie. Hammerdins with Enigma, Just about any sorc type, Javazons etc). So now its about getting pretty much 2 important stats on an item (Your classes damage type + Vitality). And at high levels attack speed/Res. oh…and blues are pretty much the -best- weapons.
Me, I'm just having fun playing around with the map hacks, exploits, and bugs now. Maybe in the next weeks coming I can have my Witch Doctor lvled and set to start botting while I'm at work.

Balance is good but making items boring in Diablo is like taking roleplay out of City of Arabel.

I made it to act 2 finally! I'm a whole lvl 15 now. I haven't had much time for gaming lately and my D3 is pathetic compared to the hardcore here.
-
What's your battle tag so we can add you ;) most of us don't mind plvling a bit to help out or dishing out loot if we have it
-
what she said.
-
Is there an easier way to finding your actual full battletag ID without logging into your shit from b.net? Either I'm a noob or it's a bad design choice, or both. –__--

So a little update on the level 60 Demon Hunter. I'm currently in Act 3, Inferno. It took me more than a few tries, but I managed to kill the Act 2 boss (let's avoid spoilers here; and I told you I'd kill him, B-Rock). A word of warning, however, although I suspect most of you know this already: there is a huge leap in difficulty between every act in Inferno. It's not a matter of skill, at this point, but gear. To put it into perspective: 1. End of Act 4, Hell, 450 dps crossbow; 2. End of Act 1, Inferno, 700 dps crossbow; 3. End of Act 2, Inferno, 900 dps crossbow. I was struggling with Act 3, even in the beginning, until I found a 1050 dps crossbow.
Also, don't put your hopes on legendaries; with a few exceptions, most magical and rare items will outstrip them by far. Your primary damage stat, vitality, crit. chance, crit. damage, armor, and resistances; these are all the item attributes that matter. The rest, aside from magic find when you begin farming, is more or less worthless.
Inferno also nullifies the effectiveness of snares on most elite mobs and bosses; life steal is also reduced to 1/5th; and both elite mobs and bosses, if not slain in a certain time period, will trigger an "enrage timer" that not only greatly increases their damage, but will also hit you with a debuff that deals constant damage.

So how long is this BETA running for? Been looking at alot of the bugs and glitches. They have alot to fix for the final release.

I'm still 100% sure Torchlight 2 will be the better game. i'm still exploiting the shit of the game, but I'm failing to see how making real money from it will work now. With there being no ladder (a system were the servers moves flagged for ladder characters to non-ladder after a season making it a clean slate for the next season) at the moment like in D2 there isn't really any need for people to rush to buy items to be at the top of it. Right now the economy of diablo is fucked, and so is the auction house. siiiiigh
-
So…I finds some quick and easy way to make gold off the auction house 2 days ago. Granted I've not played the game for more than 4hours since then the two days is misleading...if I had a schedule like ace, I'd probably have 5 mil by now without picking up the mouse.
-
Act 3, Inferno is cleared. The frustrating part wasn't the bosses, it was trying to kill enough elite mobs in time to get full stacks of Nephalem Valor. Act 3 onwards, at least in Inferno, the gear that's dropped does seem to get better. 800 dps weapons aren't all that uncommon, and sell for quite a bit.

@no2ace:

Only if its single handed with good mods. Big sellers is the 1000dps single hands with an att speed mod. The rest just sit in the auction house collecting dust since everyone and they moms has them now.
