D3 Topic 2 - The Progression!
-
Everyone bored of this game already? I find myself playing for an hour then getting bored.
-
Yeah, getting pretty bored of it because progressing through Inferno, instead of being fun, is lame.. and inviting friends to a game punishes you rather than rewards you for playing multiplayer.
-
lol, fuck this game.
-
Don't get me wrong, I'll play the shit out of it again when they introduce a few fixes:
Mainly, they need to fix multiplayer. Challenge should go up when multiple people are in the game, sure, but right now the way it is, you can solo in Inferno and the minute someone joins you to play, that monster that had .0001% HP left (literally half a hit) suddenly becomes invincible and one shots you the moment that player enters your game, and then the both of you together can't kill it. Fix this, and allow co-op play to be fun, and that already solves 90% of my beef.
Increase drop rates if Inferno difficulty is to remain the same. Inferno is terribly difficult. Even for the classes who are considered "EZ MODE," like Demon Hunters and Wizards. There's still a whole lot of trickery, jumping around, corpse hopping, and game exiting & resuming to get by certain invincible monsters. Since level 60 is the cap, you cannot improve your character unless gear drops. Gear doesn't really start dropping that's worth snot until Act 3, so even though Act 1 can be rather fun to breeze through, when you hit Act 2's brick wall of difficulty, the game is suddenly so lame that if you want to keep playing it you either A.) make a new character, or B.) get drunk and rush your friends (this is what I've been doing).
Give us the rest of what was promised. We're still missing Artisan #3, the Mystic. Artisan #1, the Blacksmith, is all but useless after you've had one character play through. Artisan #2, the Jeweler, is so ridiculously expensive it's almost just cheaper to buy the gems you need from the Auction House than upgrade them yourself. Make the artisans fun and useful, like it was promised, and introduce the third one already. Introduce the PVP system we were promised. Even if Inferno is really annoying, people can always find fun in making level 10's, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's and dueling at each subsequent "bracket." At least that way we're not forced into multiple hour gaming sessions of dying to invincible AI. I'd rather die to a skilled player than Inferno's cheap bullshit.
When these things are in place, I'll be happy. Until then, I'll either level lowbies until I have a 60 of each class, or I'll buy Torchlight 2 when it comes out. Or both.
-
Just buy torchlight 2. Its 20 dollars and 20 times better and complete than this. Trust me, I can guarantee you won't go back to diablo after.
-
How do you know Torchlight 2 is better already, though? It's not out. I'm gonna buy it either way, I loved the first Torchlight but didn't purchase it since it had no multiplayer.
EDIT: Pre-purchased Torchlight 2 on Steam. ^___^

When does it come out?
-
July or August.

@The:
Penguin is awesome.
I knew you'd see it my way, my friend. :)

The beta was like a few weeks ago. And I still have the client here cracked for off-line mode, but its not whole game of course. So far tho, its straight up diablo (the real diablo). Prolly gonna trade my d3 account off to someone after I'm done wholesaling the rest of my items on d2jsp.
-
I have the beta and it seems pretty decent, haven't really been spending much time playing it I tried the online once and it was cool. Since I don't have D3 I can't make a comparison however.

Real money auction house is open.
Elsewhere at this time, D3's currency (gold) is dropping fast in value. Soon enough, maybe 3ish months from now, it'll be as useful as D2's gold currency. Which is to say useful to repair shit. For those who are still playing this game for some odd reason. This means the real money auction house will be the only place to get items auction-wise, and the gold auction house will have items for exuberant gold prices than what they are now. So, enjoy…
