RE: How Many Old Timers Are Still Around?
He became a totally normal person.
No. That's impossible. He may have croaked, which would be awful and sad.. but he never became normal. Not even close.
Sorry dude, that's what happened. He may have even been elected to a homecoming court at a major university. It's just a rumor.

RE: How Many Old Timers Are Still Around?
While playing Peek-a-boo with my son today, I adopted a stereotypical Scottish dwarf voice and said "Well HELLOOOOOO There!". Yep, all these years later, I just imitated a Kest brother.

RE: How Many Old Timers Are Still Around?
I'm pretty sure V1 (the server in general) started in June, maybe July 2002. I know I logged on for the first time early that summer, that version only lasted until mid fall or so. It got passed around some, but most of the time was hosted on a PC of Vshar's. Player limit was 20 to begin with, it was regularly bursting full before V1 ended. There was still a lot of bioware standard loot and chests that produced it, V1 basically ended with a wipe because Rocc and Vshar got annoyed at people soloing dragons. There were no guards (PC anyway) in V1, that feature didn't come until after V2 was already in progress.

I solo killed Darmos near the end of V1. Bastard even had a heal potion. It was epic.
What, killing NPCs without DMs around is against the rules? Oops.

RE: In Memory of Wern8
Even though I haven't played with him in years, I still think about how well he handled frustrations playing Arabel and how I'd like to keep my cool as well as he did.
