Ripmus walks into the library in search for information on Neogi. He thinks he knows a little about them already but wants to scan through the books in arabel to be sure. Any information on locations of these creatures would be VARY helpfull to Ripmus. He does ask the librarain about this.
He currently knows-
They are slavers
They dwell commonly in underdark
They are much like spiders
They can speak -

I really add this because, neogi don't exist in NWN--and to my knowledge have never appeared in our setting and we don't have any plans to add them.
So unless you learned about neogi in game, it would fall into that metagaming category.

Well damn, alrighty then. Thanks for the tip. They do exist in forgotten relms for the record. Bringing up past mistakes are we? Thats just sick.

What part of don't use source books for information did you miss? Existing in a source book on the Forgotten Realms doesn't make it exist in CoA. If you don't learn about it in game, or from reading the Library forum–it may not exist.
