Lightweight Grapple

So the crossbow is 6.6 pound and the rope and grapple 5.5. So just to be able to explore certain areas, you have to haul around at least 12.1 pounds. If you want more than one set of ropes/grapple, it adds up fast.
I would suggest to reduce the weight a bit or, alternatively, allow tinkering to make both items at a light weight model.
crossbow: mahogany planks, bowstring, Iron rivets, bow cam
grapple: mithril + spider silk -
