File: Adrian Iverlesk

Adrian has been acting increasingly erratically since the arrest of his close associate Skull Volkov for the crime of treason.
His actions and statements within the confines of the Council border upon the insane and, were he a common man, I would suspect he too were a spy for Obyn.
He has now crossed an unfortunate line and has attacked and attempted to kidnap an innocent and unarmed member of the public. The complaint from the injured party is enclosed.
@O-louth said in Ash of the Crownguard:
To Mr. Ash of the Crown Guard,
I formally wish to press charges against Adrian Iverlesk and his elven mercenary known as Huntress. Yesterday evening, while performing for the crowds of the Faceless Inn, Adrian Iverlesk entered the premises, and with little warning began throwing death spells and worse at my person. He used Hold Person, and two attempts of the phantasmal killer spells upon me. When I drew my sword to defend myself, his elven mercenary stabbed me in the back with her blade. Iverlesk proceeded to tie me up, and the two of them dragged me off towards House Mossmere for interrogation. While being dragged through the streets, Iverlesk threatened me with torture, stating, “I will make you talk, one way or another”, and stated he had tools to “make me talk.”If it had not been for the timely arrival of a militia private, I would be in the deeps of House Mossmeres basements. When the private pressed upon him to release me, he stated I was wanted for treason, and that he desired to interrogate me to make me inform him who had helped Archer in the attack upon the Hillmarch mines.
While I know he is of noble birth, and that I cannot claim the same protection as my Lord father never wed my mother, perhaps you may still find it in yourself to reign him in. Because this is not the first time, he has forgotten that he is no longer of the Crownguard.
Before his attack, Adrian Iverlesk took it upon himself to act as the Crownguard Inquisitor, and hired me to investigate you, Ash, for suspected treason. He even conjured up a plan, where he would attempt to bribe you, making up a story of me having slighted him, in order for you to enact unlawful punishments upon my person.
I have a copy of one of your letters to him, where he tasked me to find a Halfling to translate your penmanship upon the back of the letter, thinking it may incriminate his allegations against you even more. I shall stop by with the letter as proof if needs be.
Whatever is being said about the Fellowship, we serve the Kingdom and its people faithfully. I have no power, influence or authority to fight Adrian Iverlesk. Nevertheless, he is a dangerous man, and alongside his Mercenary, he seems to be outstepping whatever meager authority a lesser son of a noble ever should have. And if you inform him of this missive, I doubt I shall survive the next few days.
Sincerely
Esvele OaksIt appears he was also planning attempted bribery of an official. I have invited Miss Oaks to the crown to discuss the matter further. I will compile a full and complete report of the incident and pass along to my superiors for forwarding to Houses Mossmere and Iverlesk.
I will also remind him that he is not a Crown Guard any longer and therefore has no jurisdiction carrying out investigations.
Separate file to be opened into the actions of the Huntress.

He's been charged with Religious Harassment on behalf of the House Cormaeril. He's been fined 5000 coin and Dame Drakebane was very clear that he was to deliver it personally here.
Handle this.

A courier is sent to deliver this straight to Sir Everduke in person
Sir Everduke
I feel the need to bring the conduct of one of your Crown Guards, An Asher Swiftfoot to your attention, Were there any other active duty officers I would bring it to them.
I accuse him of using forged evidence to try and win cases, religious harrasment, and numerous counts of trying to extort his betters for his own gain as well as sabotage of their royal majesties council of peers
On the day of Volkovs arrest I went to the barracks after hearing a sending from Skull Fain that Volkov had been arrested for treason.
I asked Ash what was occuring and he led me to the lounge, asking me to search Volkov as a former crown guard member.
I did so and found documents, As I had suspicions I asked Volkov what they were and he said they were forged and planted, Ash asked if I found anything and demanded anything quickly
However from the quick glance I had I could tell they were not of Volkovs own writing
After Volkov escaped, Count Immerdusk came down and asked what was going on, I tried quietly to explain my concerns yet he dismissed them saying a Crown Guard would never do such.
After the Count left Ash tried to extort me saying if I put a note in the council files he would vote for my plan and he could be a good friend or a bad enemy.
I put a note in the files saying files were found but Volkov needed to be judged at trial
Ash then constantly tried to sabotage a council vote, delaying, refusing to vote and the like
Today he has tried to use the fact I owe a fine for religious harrasment, Which I fully intend to pay to call me to the Crown Barracks to extort me.
I enclose the letters

I respectfully advise you to bring this miscreant who uses the trust placed in him by his betters for his own gain to heel before he causes great damage to the Crown Guards reputation.
I fully intend to pay my fine, I will however not be extored by miscreants
Adrian of House Iverlesk, Apprentice to Dwight Mossmere
I received this letter. Be forewarned that Mister Iverlesk will not be cooperative at the trial.
We shall discuss your conduct and the accusations levelled at you after court.
Do not embarrass or bring into disrepute the Crown Guard.
Sir Everduke.

With copy sent to Count Immerdusk
Sir Everduke, Count Immerdusk,
You may have heard the outcome of the trial; a compelling victory for the Crown Guard, having rooted out this traitor.
It was pleasing to see my investigations into the matter yield an accurate result. This is a boon for the Crown Guard and law itself.
However, what was not pleasing was the display after the result was handed down. Ser Iverlesk acted in a manner most unbecoming of his house; threatening my person multiple times (along with Skull Dall), levelling false and disturbing accusations at me to attempt to change the outcome or delay the punishment taking place.
Skull Dall, in fact, said that he would quote ”crush the crown guard and instil real law when the war ends” end quote. It would be remiss of me not to mention this to you.
I am aware of their positions as Noblemen but their conduct was an outrage and a disgrace; there are multiple witnesses in the crowd and the militia and guards present keeping order at the trial.
I think them, their houses, and their organisations should be made to answer for their actions. Though I understand this needs to be handled more carefully and discreetly than investigations into commoners. Perhaps, therefore, a letter from one of your fine selves could find its way to their eyes?
Regards
Asher Swiftfoot
