Xzavien Kreswell

Posthumous screenshots, EFU style! While Kreswell hasn’t died the concept has, I’ve decided to move on to pastures anew with all objectives complete. First character I’ve actually remembered to take screen shots with so I thought I’d share them.
Before posting however I wanted to throw major props to Team Awesome™ who were probably the best faction I’ve ever been in ~ and they’re still going strong. Seriously, for anyone who enjoys subtly and intrigue hunt these guys down and get involved. Winners.
Four months back Veneith was among two other candidates for Monarch of Easthaven. Xzavien, Mangus and back then Arvann Trevec as well decided Veneith was the best candidate to do business with, so we made ourselves a deal.
Veneith becomes Queen and keeps her word, Xzavien became the Mayor of Easthaven.
Negotiations with Lord Huntsilver begin. Then the lord of an alive and well Flynn Queen Veneith wanted Kreswell to feel him out as a potential ally and King ~ Kreswell wanted a piece of the pie.
Some adventure between the politics. Killing a host of Dragonkin and a mutated Red Dragon with the Lyons and old Easthaven crew for the benefit of Blithrix'zhimo.
A hotly disputed event a few months back! There was a Cormyrian specialist who was rumoured to be a War Wizard who had acquired an item of importance. A rather keen employer hired Xzavien and a few more to steal it, unfortunately this ended in a fight which saw us completely decimated. Xzavien was left alone, in a locked Inn, with a potential War Wizard, his bodyguards and the corpses of his dead friends. Woes.
The previous event spawned a huge investigation when Trennet Crey went to the Purple Dragons with news of the Cormyrians death. Pointing the finger at Xzavien, who I imagine was held in high suspicion, meant some clean-up work was required. Learning that a Purple Dragon Scout was conducting and had indeed complete an assessment of the event Xzavien dragged his partner in crime, Trevus Penn, to remove the evidence. With the Purple Dragon dead Xzavien employed a friendly Fire Knife Assassin to kill off the rest of the witnesses.

The investigation died down as the Grodd and Cult of the Eye were on the verge of attacking Crag. Unfortunately I didn't get any screenshots of the event however Glow captured a video of Kreswell's role.
After that is was time to put the plan into motion. We were looking to position Easthaven as the next power in the region but there was still work to do.
Xzavien gave Mangus a special mission and while he lead a team into the East Way Cemetery Xzavien went to Castle Crag. Then still thought a traitor the plan was to distract the Cult of the Eye while Easthaven scored a victory nearby.
Unfortunately a Grodd scout came to Castle Crag to tell the Cult and as a result Xzavien was locked deep in the Castle under guard while the Cult went to explore - Xzavien was not a prisoner at this stage but obviously once the Cult saw with their own eyes that Easthaven was up to something trouble would ensue. So, without Xzavien's trusty Hot Seats he was in a spot of bother – speaking amiably with his guard, Christopher le Hallows, he tried a different approach to escape Crag. [If the screen shot isn't clear, a flesh to stone gem was used after revealing his betrayal]
We met in Easthaven where Mangus and his team came from the Cemetery triumphantly. We immediately went to Veneith and pending the return of Blithe our plan was complete.
This sparked the inevitable battle with the Knights of the Red Hart. We met on the East Way Road prior to the battle to discuss terms. Neither party was particularly diplomatic.
We had a pretty epic battle in Easthaven with waves of Knights pouring in from the East Way road. Eventually the Devil Dragon came and burnt us all to pieces en route to Arabel, which effectivley broke up the fighting.
Easthaven arrives in Arabel and fortifies the Eastern District, fighting off Grodd to make way for Veneith. The Queen eventually arrives and marches to the Central district where she drives off the Devil Dragon and is pronounced Queen of Arabel by popular demand. Mission accomplished.
Finally, Xzavien is made Baron of Easthaven and Commissioner of the Sheriffs. The story went on a little longer to the end of Greencastle, unfortunately I haven't any screenshots of that episode.
Was a blast. Cheers for the guys and gals that made it so.

Where's the rest of them? This isn't half of it! Great Character, shame to see you go but I needn't fuel your ego.
Good screens!

Such an epic wizard.

Great screenies! Cannot wait to see the rest.
Best character in CoA ever. Ever.

An impressive story.
I only wish I had been aware of it while it happened. -
@Disco:
Where's the rest of them? This isn't half of it! …. ....
The rest would be spoilers I think buddy! One day! One day.

Well, where Lavish goes I go. I'll use this thread to retire Mangus Gunnar too. It was a fun concept to cook up and I don't think I've enjoyed CoA more. It's the best concept I've ever been involved with, and kudos to EVERYONE I interacted with on the way. Now you see why I exclusively play concepts with Lavish!
Looking forward to our next idea!

I've four Mangus Gunnar screen shots in my archives. First three represent the culmination of a ritual we undertook which entailed - among other things - obtaining the blood of a Paladin at the feet of a lich (Alexius Clemens love), thirteen Harpy talons from the Hullack and a berry from a Dire Crocodile in the Vast Swamps. To conclude it we needed to add water from a fresh, natural resource.
When a spirit embodying pure water materialised who stepped up to finish the job? Mister Gunnar.
The other one reveals Mangus as ever vigilant for a pun or inside joke.
Mangus Gunnar. Best minion.
