Poisons and unconsciousness

I actually used deadly poisons in combat, and it rendered the victim unconscious when he failed the second save.

On a side note, I have a vial of a very strong poison. Someone may want to volunteer for a test…

Used burnt othur fumes, if I remember correctly.

I've never killed someone with poisons when I was on subdual or beatdown myself. I can only guess what their ability scores were drained to, though. It would be worthwhile testing it out with a DM around, with poisons or a ray of enfeeblement spam to see if reducing a stat to zero will kill even on subdual.

The lower you can get in a stat due to NwN engine is 4.
You never die because your const got to 0.
Level drain still may kill you, however.

The loss of HP that occurs due to lowered CON can kill you tho.

I'm 90 percent sure that I have died from ability drain to 0. I think it was str or wis. Plus, Idont see how it wouldnt kill you. Since its not a player doing the damage. Basically I dont think it will pick up that a player that doesnt have FD on did the poison damage on you. Simply hit 0 and your dead.

Come to think of it, I've been almost killed by having my str drained to 0. I think someone got to me with a lesser restoration or something…

Hm, now that you point it out, I think having my wisdom drained below 4 killed me once too.

Con drain is the only one you can die from

ANY stat drained to 0 you can die from. ANY. Its why poisons are no joke. It's also why people should shit a brick if they are surrounded by Shadows. STR drain and CON drain tend to kill you more because more things have those abailities.

On PnP only Cons drain will kill you.
All other Abilities when reduced to 0 leave you incapacitated, just that.
On NwN you can't have a stat lower than 4, due to the engine.
You can still die if your cons is reduced, yes, but only if you have been damaged. If you have 50 hp and is reduced to 10, if you lost 12 hp due to cons drain you will have 10 - 12 = -2 hp.
Level drain of course also kills you in both NwN and PnP.

Wrong. Your stats can go to 0 and you would die. That's how I died against shadows. Or how an half orc died on the spot using a parasite.

Then you need a DM to say it is so and not just a bug as there is only one poison that will kill you.
Also having a stat reduce to 3 could be 4 i thought it was three is as low as it used to go via the engine the only effect that did kill due to stat drain was infestation of maggots and that forces a save vs death when the stat hits 3.
Level drain kills loss of HP then reduced stats will kill but stat drain alone shouldn't without a script being put in to do so.The parasite thing is due to a server script im presuming and should be looked at if so.

Stats will kill you if you hit zero. Even if there is a script in there it makes sense.
