Is there a way to alter your keyboard keys?

So for the longest of times my laptop with NWN missed the 'Z' key and I am unable to type the damn thing. Is there a way to just use another key? I use windows Xp

the easiest way is to simply purchase a inexpensive USB keyboard, i try to use a external keyboard on my laptop, except when i am on the move, a external keyboard is easier to replace than the one on the computer

I used this to bind the arrow keys to wasd in a game that didn't support the arrow keys. It might help.
