I know we had something of a thread on this before, but it wasn't really a 'post-your-name-and-stuff' kind of thread. So here we go. Anyone who plays dota2? I heard once before that we had quite a few people in this community that did. Regardless: I'd be interested in rolling up a few games with anyone who's interested.

Okay, I didn't spend too much time with the topic but… is dota2 a game you purchase, or does it generate money from in-game transactions?

I have free copes of the game, like 13 which I will pass out to people who want to play it. But yeah they have microtransations for cosmetics thats pretty much it.

Yeah, all heroes are free to play. You just really spend real money with cosmetic stuff or Announcer packs.

With a quick look over at www.dota2.com it seems announcer packs replace the default announcer voice IG.
There seem to be 10 different ones priced from $8-$25 with the majority at $10
