Dear CoA

I've had 10 players create characters to join th MG in the last couple of weeks. No application needed to become a novice. I'd say 5 bothered to complete the basic task and 3 are taking an active role in the faction pursuing their own or faction goals. If there were no apps, you'd have many more people joining factions and doing nothing or rolling up a new alt a week later. Applications focus the mind of the player into playing the one character and not spreading their game time between 8 different alts. Some players, like you Golw, focus on one character at a time an affect/influence the server and it's PCs. Many people run loads of alts, find they have no effect, are dissaponted and so roll up another "exciting" alt.

@AWESOMEMAN:
Factions shouldn't have an application process anymore.
I agree, it would probably boost their numbers quite a bit and apps can be off putting sometimes. Just make it so it rewards those who actually put a dedicated effort such as promotions and whatnot.

I rescind all I said bad. The numbers are lower for sure, but the standard is higher than ever. And now we have another DM, more stuff can happen. More DMs pleease.
