Neverwinter Nights MMO official
-
http://www.gamespot.com/news/6273953.ht ... Btitle%3B1 It's official now. Given the fact its being done by Cryptic I am not hopeful considering how they did with their most recent project STO but we will see.
-
Called it a year ago BTW.
…wait a minute this isn't an MMO.
-
I was wondering when the first D&D video game based upon the 4th Edition rules was going to appear. 4th Edition rules look like they were designed to be used for video games.
-
Started reading it then I stopped. Looks like an epic fail.

They arent using 4e rules. Apparently, they are using an extremely watered down system.

It looks like it's gonna suck. 5 classes only? Pft.
-
Only needs two to pwn. Fighter and Rogue.
-
There's no druids! Yes!

You need to start lobbying to have multiclassing enabled.

Cryptic is a good name for the studio.. better:Confusion.
This sounds horrific:
"Neverwinter is a true Dungeons & Dragons experience based on the acclaimed 4th Edition rules – a first of its kind!" First is the same as best.
"Easy-to-grasp adventure creation tools empower users. Bring compelling quests to life and build challenging levels! Share creations with the entire world in-game. Become a part of the existing Dungeons & Dragons universe... Then build a new one." Levels? I can make new levels for others to play? Is this a FPS? Become part of the existing universe then build a new one? What does that even mean? Do you just make a character and then run him through some of these levels? Can I ride Yoshi?
"team up with friends or computer-controlled allies to form five-person co-op groups." Wait is this Left 5 Dead?
From the game's website it looks like you can play one of 5 character classes: Cleric, wizard, fighter, dual wielding drow, or ranger. Game drops immediately after RA Salvatorre's next book.
-
Just read an interview with Cryptic… it is NWN 5 Dead. Grab 4 of your best buds and hop in a level for some online co-op fun. No more tedious 100+ hour story-lines.
-
Meh.
-
Badass. Looks like finally a Crypric game that will not burn you Syntax. ^_^
-
Their best chance of sucess is if they make it free to play because otherwise they are not gonna have much of a playerbase. Anyone who has played a NWN PW server is gonna know that what they are getting is much better than anything this shit has to offer.
-
Guys i'm not aware of Cryptic… why every comment i read says that this company sucks!? (because it does!?) I didn't get, why you think the game will suck? it's Nwn after all... It may be true that Nwn without Bioware backing them up will be a total disaster.
Fill me in please!!
-
They're trolls.
-
The game will launch alongside a new trilogy of novels written by fantasy author R.A. Salvatore, which are also set in the Forgotten Realms–the books will touch on the game's main characters, monsters, and storyline.
If this isn't Drizzt, then this is win.
-
I wouldn't hold your breath.
-
isn't drizzt dead?
-
4th e, baby. If they want, they can introduce a new race of dragon people that existed all along and turn my precious gnomes into a monsterrace…
Oh... Wait!
Classes: Fighter, Rogue, Mage, Ranger, Cleric.
