what you -really- want, is a program to convert them to .jpg files (and preferably with some options to compress em a bit) then you upload them to the screenshots section.
I use photoshop, so I dont know any little programs for tasks like that.

XnView is good also. Does batch converts too.
-
Gimp works well too; can open and then edit them, then save as .jpg or whatever
-
But you can't easily view them with gimp.
:(Otherwise gimp worths a try as a legal photoshop alternative.
-
Photoshop is legal, you know. :D

I've been using a copy of the first Photoshop Elements (I think they're on 8 now) for years and years and years. I'm no expert on different image-editing programs, but it's an absolute marvel to play around with. At $6 now, it's by no means expensive. I'm sure they haven't made 7 new versions of it without making some major changes, but in all honesty I found this very easy to get into with no background in digital imaging, and the tools available allow for creating just about any effect once you've got the hang of them.
It's no match for the latest Pro version which costs more like a hundred times this, the latest Elements seems to have a lot more photo-editing features, and i've never compared to Gimp, but for image editing I've yet to be able to think of anything I want to do with it that I've been able to achieve to some degree (well, actually making long animated gifs is a bit bleh)

@HarryMcScary:
This can also batch convert your entire collection as well.
