Current level range

So, when we actually look at the evidence…the current level of the server is still 5.
It was 4 before we started raising it.
If you note, the paler blue--that's the highest level most characters get--the darker blue is their current level.
Would it be possible to get this broken down by the most active player accounts as measured by avg. monthly playing time? How would, say, the top 50 percentile of active accounts look?
I would predict that these account likely dominate 80%+ of the total playing time, and that at least their most frequently played characters (mains) are of significantly higher level than what these figures show.
And really, it doesn't matter (to players at least) what the actual average character level is when most of those people just don't play enough to be noticed…

This isn't up for discussion since the DMs know their plan regarding the levels of the server. I'm going to throw my two cents into the discussion, however, now that the can of worms has been opened.
My only worry regarding the levels of the server is that, when you reach levels 7 and 8, the creatures you encounter scale accordingly. You advance beyond fighting goblins and orcs, and you start fighting fantastic creatures like devils and liches. Don't get me wrong. Fighting devils and liches is awesome, but when the average adventurer fights creatures like those each day, I worry that the fantastic starts to become ho-hum.
It's only a small worry from a small player, however. The server appears to be getting along great, regardless.

I quite like the current level of the server to be honest, I started out on CoA when level 10 wasn’t a rarity and it was levels 12/13 that were attainable by the “bunched societiesâ€

Just a comment, don't know what it means, but if you look at the second graph closely, levels 8 and 9 are higher than what a standard normal distribution (bell curve) would be.

I find there are lots of 4 to 8 quest which makes it easy to lvl up fast..there are some lvl 9 quest too..after that if you have a good group of 8's and 9's getting higher aint that difficult..

it means that there are some people reaching it, at the "desired level range".
a small peak there to counteract the very large numbers of low level

From experience, Reaching level 6 and 7 with the proliferation of quests and characters in that level range can be done fairly quickly, with luck on your side.
Once you reach eight, the number of questers available drops of and therefore your questing also tends to drop off. It takes me about a month to reach level 7, about another two weeks to reach 8 and then another month to reach 9. I guess some folks find this sort of time frame boring and want to move onto the next character as this one no longer seems to be achieveing anything.

Most quests to me, seem rather easy so its no suprise the level range looks higher. And this is coming from a player who can't use potions, wands, or items - and still takes the front. Thats up until level 7 though.
