The passage through Hillmarch to the north
-
My proposal would be to merely patrol the region ensuring that there are no incursions from the north, whilst allowing us the facility to use the route ourselves should we have need of bringing a force to the rear of Obyn's troops.
Minimal cost but for the time spent and potentially lives of course, but minimal interference ought to have minimal risk.
I offer to undertake these patrols myself of course, along with any that will aid, as i wrote in the attached flyer.

So the bare minimum?
Patrols are fine and dandy but they won't stop a sortie or properly equipped raiding party.

They should give us adequate time to delay and respond to any threat that passes that way.
We could commit more resources and block this avenue of passage if you desire, it depends on whether you believe we will win the war or not i suppose.
If we force Tilverton onto a back foot then this passage is an asset to our troops, if we are forced back we can still achieve Mordecai's proposal as we retreat.
I thought that it a better option to expend our resources in a more effective manner.
