Of War, Of Conflict, Of Deeds...

Alright,
I finally got around to listening to the King and his objectives for this war.
Simply put, they are the following:
- Remove Obyn Misrim as a figure in this Kingdom, ending in his death or permanent inability to govern, rule, or spread his influence.
- Securing Tilverton as a Royal City to be granted to a worthy Ruler.*
- Conserve as much of the Elites and heavy hitters of the army as possible.
The major reason for this war is that we've discovered that Obyn Misrim has invested much of his wealth and resources into building...something, beneath the city. A vast network of catacombs. Indications of this first were reported after the Fall of the White Witch where he installed himself as Duke of Tilverton and the territories of Northern Arabel. Isaacson appearing at his side- it's assumed that the two met during this time period. The evidence we have of Isaacson's infernalism is frankly sparse, and would not hold up in any Tyrran Court as circumstantial at best. However, for all intents and purposes, Isaacson must die, and cannot be permitted to escape.
The Butler, for his part, is an unknown. Records seem to indicate he is the son of a minor noble, but the Heralds cannot find a date of birth or the official documents of such a claim- and we've been extra thorough in this investigation, even containing the Palace in Suzail for records of this, and we've come up with nothing. Either the King to the south is purposefully obfuscating, or he never existed in the first place. His knowledge and submitted scholarly articles, are, as I quote a recent scholar,
"It's as if he lived through the events as an observer, and not one studying the diaries and letters of the individuals who lived through them."
Draw what conclusions from it that you wish, but it was his word that granted us the Obsidian Skulls for this army- and for this, he will possess a full pardon of any crimes or misdeeds he partook in during Obyn's Service.
Talantra Misrim and her son with Obyn has been secured. She wishes to keep the Duchy for her child and rule as its Steward. We are inclined to at least consider this, given Talantra's excellent work as a spy for his Majesty during Obyn's reign- even if she was kept in the dark of many of the events in the settlement. It will also ensure that many nobles loyal to Obyn will be mollified, and may even look the other way if we offer a royal guarantee to this effect.
For Obyn himself, his Majesty wishes him dead- but the Queen is inclined to be lenient, and if there is a solution that allows the man to live and serve the Kingdom- be it as a broken man denied his ambition, or as a man given a new lease on life- so be it. He is talented, ruthless, and has many, many connections. The Misrim network cannot be underestimated, it is his Grandmother's Magnum opus and it has permitted Arabel to survive as a Country despite its anarchic state. Without him, we'd be Cormyrian Nobles- to this, we'll let Fate, and its events, decide.
More information to come....

The Lizardfolk migrations have stayed in the Stonelands. For now, they aren't classified as a threat- and well, it's not for us to defend Obyn's subjects. They can be permitted to raid around Tilverton for the time being to occupy his resources in protecting his subjects.
The Eastern Marches remain infested with outside influences. It's a matter of debate if we wish to reinforce the ward and permanently remove them, or simply let 'all hell break loose' and force more resources from Tilverton to manage them while we march toward Griffin Hill. Either way, we'll pay for it later. The third option is to do nothing and simply post a guard for any sorties through this territory- right now, an armed group can get past. If we reinforce the ward, it's simply another front for us to cover, but the resources paid now can pay dividends later in developing the territory.

The broad strokes of the plan are as such:
Take Griffin's Hill, securing the passage for troops and supplies.
Begin to lay siege to Tilverton and begin construction on siege engines.
Break down the gates and storm the settlement.
If you have questions, concerns, and whatnot- address them here. You can divvy the tasks and actions among yourselves.

What is actually known on the ward of the eastern Marches?
I would advise on strengthening it to remove the fiendish presence and prevent Issacson from utilising the fiends there.
Unfortunately the area has been largely ignored in recent times and knowledge lacking.

On one of my incursions to the Eastern Marches, I have noticed a single path that goes through a ravine on the way to Tilverton. It would behoove us to collapse the path in the ravine and block any enemy advancement towards Hillmarch, and in turn to Arabel, through the marches.

I see no need to block the path
If we strengthen the ward we can hold the land and turn it to something productive after the war.
Better to be bold and remove the fiends once and for all

I have been making regular diliveris of wood to help arm the people the city is going to send to the war.- Barra

Apprentice,
Unless you can also conjure us an army to hold the Eastern Marches AND siege Tilverton, I do not see how we can hold both with the current manpower we have.

I would presume that we would strengthen the ward whilst Tilverton is under siege, Thus vastly reducing the chance of them being able to sneak out via the Wondergrange and Marches
Perhaps Ser Cormaerils Senior Retainer Vandern could set traps from the wondergrange to the Marches to discourage people and Barra and Najeem take some ferocious animals to the wondergrange to further discourage people attempting such
