To those who knew Krystia Kross, it is my unfortunate duty to state that she has, in fact, passed away at the date of April 4th, 2007, due to illness.
Condolences go out to her family and friends, anybody who wishes to know the exact cause of death should private message me here or on IRC.
I am not the best person to give an eulogy, I would ask those who knew better to do so.

I don't know what to say,
Krys was one of the first people I met on Arabel, always kind and friendly, keen to explore and develop her understanding of the game and the people she was interacting with.
wow, i guess its not easy to take in.
I know she didn't play here much lately but she will be sadly missed by those who knew her.
My heart goes out to those who knew her best.
This doesn't even go halfway to doing Krys justice, but its all i can think to say. I hand over to others.

Again to echo what Hinty said "I don't know what to say." She was always very sweet and kind to me. She referred to everyone as hon. She really loved this game, back in the day.

Krystia Kross –;@
It was remarked that someone can be gone for a long time, but you never really realize how much you miss them until they're gone. I guess it's because the realization dawns on you that that person will never again be around, that you'll never experience their presence or their friendship again.
It's knowing that a crucial part of the world, one that you thought would always remain, has disappeared without your knowing, and suddenly, the world is a less wonderful place for it. We're all going to miss her dearly.Let's not grieve for her overmuch, though. She knew for months, maybe years before her time came. She still sought to be with us when she could, but between the hospitalizations for treatment that took her from us, she still returned, smiling and happy on the outside; because she didn't want us to worry for her. She wanted us to be her sanctuary, her friends and companions. Arabel her playground, what I think she wanted most, was for us not to worry for her.
Perhaps I'm off base in my assertions here - there's no question that as a stranger a thousand miles away, that I cannot truly know her motives.
Not much of a eulogy, I guess...
Krystia was a sweet and kind woman, let's be happy to have known her. For I grieve that I did not know her better.

My condolences to her family and friends and everyone that knew her well on this server. I myself did not know her closely, yet I still feel shocked and saddened as I read this.
Words just do not seem to be able to express my feelings right now…
Farewell Krystia...

Krystia was a lovely person. She always had time for people, and was always kind towards those she spoke with.
The world is a poorer place without her.
Rest in Peace Krystia.

I'm not good with stuff like this, but I feel I have to say my piece none the less.
Krystia, Natassia Bresk, MotherGoose, Vampire-chick - whatever you knew her as, you were able to associate that name with a kind woman who always put others before herself. Almost 5 years ago or so when I was new to CoA, I played a merchant who never really sold much, and was ready to call the character quits until 'ol Krystia Kross came by gave my character new hope. Not only did she have an influence on my character (ironically named John Combs), but she always had an influence on me as a player. She was always there to help me out with stuff, and it's no wonder why she became a DM thereafter.
I wish I could go into this further, but I don't want to get all corny on you guys. She's made a lot of friends here, and I for one can at least tell you all that she'll always be remembered by me. Hopefully right now, she's chillin' up in heaven logged on to her ub3r fast computer with lightning speed internet connection, logging on to these forums to see how many great friends she had here who really cared for her. I guess that would give a whole new definition to 'ghosting', hmm? ;)
Have a good one, Krystia. You'll be greatly missed.

Krystia… I love you girl...
Krystia, Natassia Bresk, Mother Goose. Krystia was a woman of a heart that new no limits... When I had the pleasure of playing with her in game, she was a delight, a true roleplayer always inspirering someone to become better at what she was doing... But OOC... She was a person of love, love for the game, but more importantly for the people she interacted with. Always willing and capable of giving advice, whether it was IC related, but even more OOC. One of the few people of CoA that my heart truely belonged to, Krystia was one of them. Im gonna miss you, much more than I could ever have imagined... Rest in Peace, Krystia... It was an honour, priviledge and joy to know you... I love you...

It was an immense pleasure working with MG as both a player and as a member of the DM team. Her cheery personality could make the most depressing of days seem okay. And despite all the mentioning of how sweet she was (a truth), I'll also elude to the the more wicked side that some of us got to see amidst the plotting that went on in the treehouse. Her company was always enjoyable, and I'm certain most of us who knew her will miss her.

Rest in peace, MotherGoose.

Sister, sister,
may you find peace on a beach with the pride mountain and a sunset, watching the waves come in. I will always remember you always, Kristy.More words I do not have now, only a emptiness.

I honestly am shocked to hear this; rest in peace Krystia.

I was going to post something last night when I found out, but I’ve been tearing up off and on ever since, so I decided to wait until this morning when hopefully my head would be less all over the place.
I didn’t know Krystia/Mother Goose as well as some people on here, but I knew her well enough to call her a friend. She was all the things that people have already mentioned above – kind, funny, sweet, friendly, and she had the ability to make the game enjoyable for everyone around her. She was one of those people that you used to hear a lot about OOC before you even came into contact with them. I didn’t really get to know her until one of my character’s friends began working a lot with House Bresk, and once that happened, she welcomed me right into the House. That was as much my reasoning for Edana joining the Breskies as any IC reason – Krystia made House Bresk feel like a little family, both ICly and OOCly, and I think a lot of people wanted to be part of that, judging by the number of requests House Bresk used to get for any open retainer spots. I always felt I could go to her with any problems, both IC and OOC, and she would listen and help sort them out.
She was immensely popular amongst the CoA community. You could see that just from the hugely warm welcome she would get in IRC when she returned from one of her absences. People would practically fall over each other to say hi and ask how she was and send her virtual hugs when she would suddenly appear in #coa shouting “HONK!” She was very distinctive – occasionally, playing Natassia used to get a bit much because she had so much to do, so she would log on with one of her alts, but I could always spot them a mile off because of her characteristic typing style and her smilies with their giant noses.
Like Kotenku said, you often don’t realise how much you miss someone until you know that they won’t be coming back. Her frequent absences meant that we got used to her not being around for long periods, but I guess we all expected that one day she would wander back into IRC and honk at us all. It’s hard to take in the fact that she won’t be coming back to CoA, or joining in with ToM when it goes live.
I guess we know now that the reason for her absences weren’t computer troubles, but because she was ill, and that she probably didn’t tell us because she wanted CoA to be a kind of refuge away from all of that. I hope that we were able to make her time here as enjoyable as she made ours.
I’ll really miss her, and I don’t think I’m the only one by a long shot.
I spoke with her brother and he said that her family are picking up mail from her old email address, so I thought I might send them a link to this thread, so that they can see how much she meant to us all.

Rest In Peace Krystia, my thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Words fail to describe the sorrow and loss I feel. With Krystia one of the most beloved people I knew has gone. She had a huge impact to many as a player, a character and a DM and the many, many joyful moments will be remembered.
Her legend, her kindness, her good spirit and cheerfulness will never be forgotten. I will miss her dearly …

I only knew her as Mother Goose and had the pleasure of interacting with her occaisionally. Each time was memorable.
The fact that she touched a great many people on this server, and that she will be so dearly missed saddens me that I did not have the opportunity to know her better.
Rest in peace MG from those that miss you and those that would have liked to know you better.

Let there be another great journey ahead of you, Krystia. I'm sad of that you had to leave. You left mark on every soul you encountered in your life, and what you gave to others, will be given to one another by them. Your gift goes on, and your memory will live forever.

Wow, I randomly decide to come back and see how my stomping grounds of yesteryear are fairing and I stumble upon this thread.
Depressing to come back randomly and then click on this topic, and I've got nothing to say except for what's already been said- here's to a good friend whom we all would've liked to know better.
