Tass,
The Bishop has authorized talks with the Precept regarding their ban on the Bishopric.
They may return under the following conditions:
- They resolve the shadow issue on our lands for us, at their own cost.
- They donate a vial of blood from all in their ranks possessing angelic bloodlines.
- They pay a weregild of 5000 gold for the murder of Tristan.
- Whatever you feel fit to include.
- Awakened Tasha'lunde
-
I have been informed several members of the Precept have failed to respect the ban due to not understanding the true nature of a ban. As such, I will delay the talks a little to make certain that they understand disrespect is helping no one.

1. Large tithe for slandering the Order of the Aster, House of the Morning, Eveningstar, and Lathander
2. Medium tithe for the murder of Dawnbrother Tristan
3. Small tithe for failure to comply to the exile by several Precept Arcanum members
4. Continues blood vial donations from all members of the Precept Arcanum of angelic bloodline
5. Tithe their members time in service to cleanse the shadows from Eveningstar in the name of LathanderNew proposal below

- No kill shelter The Precept Arcanum promises to not kill anyone considered a 'stray' unless the Precept Arcanum has the clearance to do so by the Councils or Crown. Killing a person is a last resort, when all other options have been exhausted.
- This will aid the Precept greatly with rebuilding their reputation
- This will ensure current and/or future members of the Precept will not live in fear
- This will protect the sorcerer bloodlines from extinction
- Passage for the unfortunate Tieflings may venture into the lands of Eveningstar at their own risk, as their presence may offend the Celestial Guardians of Eveningstar. Under the condition that the Precept Arcanum supplies House of the Morning with blood vials of all their members with celestial heritage.
- This will allow tieflings to worship Lathander freely in Eveningstar
- This will allow tieflings to pledge themselves to the faith of Lathander in Eveningstar
- This will allow tieflings to enter the land at their own risk, knowing the risks involved
- This will allow celestial bloodlines to be preserved and guarded by the Celestial Guardian of Eveningstar
- Lifting the banishment. In the interest of peace Eveningstar will lift the current banishment of the Precept Arcanum. In return, the Precept Arcanum will aid Eveningstar with clearing the shadow plague over the Western part of the Kingdom which was triggered by one of its member.
- This will improve the relationship between the orders of Eveningstar, and the Precept Arcanum
- This will show both Eveningstar and the Precept Arcanum willing to start a new
- This will enable the Precept Arcanum to right their wrong against the land of Eveningstar
The conditions are based upon these facts
- The Crown made a final decision upon the death of Dawnbrother Tristan in the judicial system of the kingdom's Capital, which is outside the lands of Tilverton, Eveningstar, and Immersea
- The Precept Arcanum's member is at the time of writing, still wanted for the death of Dawnbrother Tristan and causing the shadow plague over Eveningstar, disrespecting the laws of Eveningstar
- The Precept Arcanum's members failed to adhere to the banishment made by the Bishop of Eveningstar, disrespecting the laws of Eveningstar
- The Precept Arcanum's member expressed blasphemy against Lathander over sendings, disrespecting the laws of Eveningstar
- In the interest of a new dawn, rebirth, and the blessed dogma of Lathander. Eveningstar agrees to not prosecute the Precept Arcanum members in the land of Eveningstar, under the condition that this agreement is signed and agreed upon by both the representatives of Eveningstar and the Precept Arcanum.
- No kill shelter The Precept Arcanum promises to not kill anyone considered a 'stray' unless the Precept Arcanum has the clearance to do so by the Councils or Crown. Killing a person is a last resort, when all other options have been exhausted.

I have forwarded the proposal to Kira of the Precept Arcanum, we will wine and dine over the negotiations.

Kira and I shall dine in Collinwood, I have noticed a few outsiders trying to meddle. Well if you could call Izereth an outsider, since she is the reason behind it all. However, Kira and I have a mutual understanding and I look forward to working with her.

Tass,
A few notes that come to my mind as I read this.
If they agree to this, I will be happy and content- though not quite satisfied. The Precept is clearly devoted to pursuing their lineages, instead of rejecting them in favor of the Divine, and of this- we must be ever wary and concerned with the malefactors within their ranks becoming agents of evil in their devotion to their dark ancestors.
Frankly, I am content to have them banished from our lands forever- and by no means, must a deal or arrangement be made.

With Izereth on the lose, and Treth slain for infernalism. We have a stronger stance against the Precept than before, Kira has said she shall write a new proposal. However, I believe we can comfortably spread out influence and light into the Precept now when our two major blockages are gone.

Kira,
With Izereth a wanted stray, Treth slain for assisting a demon against the kingdom and its factions, I feel the Precept are in dire need of assistance. I am here for you, as is the faith of Lathander. A new dawn will come, and the Precept can be reborn for the better. As such, I have a simpler suggestion.
- The Precept takes over or pays off the debt of Eveningstar to Tilverton, the details left to the Precept and Tilverton to finalize
- Eveningstar in return will lift the ban of Precept Arcanum members
- The Precept will make a public apology, speaking of self-reflection and a new brighter dawn for sorcerers.
- Eveningstar in return will offer to indoctrinate any willing tiefling, or member of the Precept to the Church of Lathander
- Whilst apologizing for the harm caused by the Precept's former members, the Precept will promise to bring the stray Izereth to justice.
- Eveningstar in return, will safe guard all celestial blood vials of the Precept Arcanum inside the House of the Morning.
This is a second chance for the Precept Arcanum, to right wrongs and prove itself once more. Failure or any further acts against the Kingdom of Arabel, will result with the Precept Arcanum willingly closing its facilities within the capital. If this doesn't happen, Eveningstar and its allies will petition for the Precept Arcanum's license being revoked by the Crown.

@spiffymeister said in Statement by the Elders of the Precept:
The Precept is a family.
A family bound by blood, heritage, and in such a family, there are black sheep, and those who tamper with forbidden and ancient powers that will lead them astray and from the love and light of the family.
We mourn the treachery of Izereth, a bright star, envious of others in their success, bitter at rejections, beautiful in her laughter, delightful in her wit. Now, she has transformed and embraced the aberrant, the orbulent, and become a threat to us all. We weep in each other's embrace and prepare to mobilize fully against the Orbulent, our aid is at the disposal of the Wildwalkers.
We mourn the actions of Treth, guile and filled with cunning, strong in his defense of his brothers and sisters, ambitious and eyes ever forward into the sky- but he was to hungry for power, bargained away his very soul, and while friends may have turned him in, we are family, and we concealed the truth and knowledge of his dark actions out of love and the desire to protect our own.
For this, we hang our heads low in shame, we silenced tongues instead of sought help, we contritely fold our hands in our laps, and murmur silent prayers to Lathander, asking for forgiveness, to Sune, to forgive our misplaced love, to Tyr to be merciful in his judgment for our inaction.
It is the act of evil people, to do nothing, as evil is done, and this, we know full well.
It is the act of cruel and wicked people, to do nothing, as cruel and wicked things are done.
It is the act of cowards, to do nothing, when cowardly and dishonorable deeds are done.
We know, we have erred, and we will grow from this- and for this- we are sorry, and we have failed to uplift our people, to bring them from the temptation of the wicked, to embrace the better angels of mercy, graciousness, and humility.
We have become no better than petty mundane.
Thus, to prevent this from occurring once more:
-
True Bloods will need to submit a vial of their source blood to the reliquary upon induction to the higher echelons of the family, where any treachery can result in an swift, merciful death.
-
We will fully commit to the Orbulent Crusade, where Ursula the Herald of Crystal will command us, within reason.
-
Restitutions will be made to Eveningstar for Izereth's sins. These will be discussed privately, but the Church of the Morning will announce the result of such things.
-
Restitution will be made to Tilverton for breaking the Duke's own laws in his lands, for actions of Treth's misdeeds.
-
We will redouble our vigilance, and ensure no further children of the Family will fall into sin and monstrosity. That is not the purpose of our Precept, we seek to bring ourselves closer to the source of all magic, not to abandon our very souls in favor of power.
So speaks the Arcanum
So speaks the Precept
So speaks the Family -
