The White Witch Theorum
-
Everyone, I need you to list everything you know about the Witch, the ruins and anything related to that.
The White Witch.
-Appeared many months ago, maybe a year? First sighted among the White Horde
-Killed the late King, destroyed the mage tower and maybe its leader, and the late Lord Vaylan
-Has been attacking adventurers inside caverns, breaking into their mind
-As far as records goes, has never spoke herself, only in Netherese through others
-There appears to be names or words said by the White Witch, which are also found in the Stonelands ruins
She bears the robes and rings of a war wizard, paled by thousands of years in the sun.
-When I saw her in a vision, she was a large white spirit floating in the winds of the Weave. Apparently when she possessed me, she ranted about betrayal and taking back something in the name of... something. 'By the powers of Maluradek' maybe?
Theory #1-
She's actually the Spirit of Karsus, a truly powerful mage of the Netherese.
I find it unlikely though, since the ghost was a 'she'.
Theory #2 -
She's actually the Spirit of Karsus' apprentice or wife, determined to restore her lands.
-Maluradek - The staff has this engraved on it.
-Ariania- The Child of Maluradek
-Alysha Thardresk, Ninth of her name - The Queen of Anauria, the kingdom of the ruins.
-Khadeejah- This was written dozens of times over on a golden obelisk in the ruined temple of Ten Thousand Faces
-The Rune of Ten Thousand Faces- A rune made by Karsus.
-The Temple also contains two wolves attacking a stag - the Tethgard ruin shows a Stag and Wolf side by side as equals. The Stag represents the elven kingdoms and the Wolf the netherese.-The Temple of Ten Thousand Faces- There are massive pillars that feed magic into something. So much magic it's drained the land around it.
---Theory #3 -
This was a failed ascension and what is left of Karsus took a willing host and has worked to regain what was lost. -
Though I'm in no way qualified to have an opinion on the state of magic preserving the White Witch, I cannot help but notice her similarity to that of an Aberration, or ghost.
She moves through solid matter, seemingly teleports, and despite having what appears to be an understanding of the common tongue, speaks in a language, in some cases "at us," that she is aware we do not yet understand. Her ability to possess others and influence their decision making, and her 'disconnected' perpetual anger alludes to her fragmentation similar to that of a ghost.
It is my personal belief, that the individual who is our enemy - this White Witch, is not the same as the woman we see. She is either by choice or by circumstance, a conduit for some greater thing.
We need to find what it wants, or what it was born from, and do what we can to sever those connections. This is the same strategy employed by undead hunters of my order, and the same approach will work here - despite it being on a far grander scale.
Based on what we know, those she has possessed, her reason for striking King Gondegal and the Black Tower, this all indicates a person driven against Arabel, in support of Cormyr. But if we remove the War Wizard aspect, what are we left with? If we ignore the Black Tower and King Gondegal events, this is a vengeful spirit of significant power attempting to be heard.

The Dawnknight's theory is quite sound, it is not the first time we have come across strange spirits of impressive powers. Perhaps she is a vessel as he suggests in her own right, the mere husk of a War Wizard with someone else within. Perhaps we ought to lure her out, for a field study? Since she is close to the weave, perhaps there are some places where she is weakened.

Would she not be possessed, as they think, she would still be a powerful mageling. War Wizards are known for their powers. They can teleport easily and wield powerful magic on their own. Add this.. vengeful spirit, demon, or another, and she is most powerful.
Something from the sands must have its grip on her. It is where she came from with her White Horde.

Then we need to find where she first came from.
