Ghosts of Cormyr
-
Fellow Councilors,
Ex-Commander Keline and Ex-councilor Saralynne along with Ex-Emissary of the elves and Ex-Councilor Selifrey were investigating several rumors regarding the welfare of the city and its outlying settlements when they came along a Cowled Gentleman who stated he was being pursued by the White Witch. I do not have the full details, however the man was slain along with several Redwood villiagers.
It seems, Sir Matrim Kingsley has struck against the White Witch, slaying numerous Monstrous Worgs. This report feeds into the reputation of sir Matrim Kingsley as a monster hunter. IT makes sense that he would choose this war target, and I assume he underestimated the White Witch coming after him and his men.
There are dozens of reports coming in of "Cowled Men" being hunted down and slain by Gnolls, Goblins, Kobolds, and Orcs. Several small villages have upcropped near Arabel, perhaps staging points meant to cut off the Ghosts of Cormyr from Arabel.
It is my belief that the White Witch is trying to cut down our would-be allies before they have the chance to join us.
I will be mobilizing myself and whomever I can muster in the next few hours to try and make contact with the Ghosts of Cormyr. As difficult as it is to find the men of the mist, we must endeavor to try.
In the Stonelands we found a bedine citizen cut down by numerous arrows near another "Cowled Gentleman." I retrieved a green silk cloth as proof of the White Hordes spreading deeds. Perhaps this is a representative of the Rogue Legionnaires? We cannot know until we gather more information.
Another small path in the stonelands lead us to a band of Dragontouched Kobolds who seemed to be studying an old artpiece or statue on the borderlands of Old Anauria.
The Statue was of a man-alit in magical fire, drawing power from the sun. Two heroines at his left and right with sword drawn, prepared for battle, and three monstrous black dragons bearing down upon them.
What this depiction is exactly, we cannot know for certain without more information. But I believe it has to do with another statue we found in the Dark-lands, a cavern with three giant statues of men in armor, and "Three Kings" written in old netherese.
Special credit goes to Saralynne, Kirin Ashwood, and Ottilie on these discoveries.
We must follow up on the Ghosts of Cormyr. I only pray we have not waited too long.

Using a map I've documented several of the confirmed locations:
What you see is a hunt across the Kingdom of Arabel for Ghosts of Cormyr.
By a druidic monument corrupted by the Black Tribe we found goblins hastily melting down gold and gems.
In Eveningstar an encampment of a Goblin scouting party.
At the Gnoll Pass, a dead caravan with a bedine citizen carrying fine green silks and a dead Ghost of Cormyr.
By Griffon Hill, a ransacked caravan and the monument to Amaunator.
In the Redwoods, an attack carried out by the White Witch herself. It is my belief that the Ghosts have enraged the White Horde, and they will stop at nothing to take them out, as indicated by these chaotic and seemingly nonsensical attacks.

@SadGruffman said in Ghosts of Cormyr:
In the Redwoods, an attack carried out by the White Witch herself.
Explain.
- Children of the Redwoods.

This was the report given to us by Saralynne last night. The strange sound that burns ears and boils eyeballs was chasing a Cowled Gentleman. An old villiager was slain. This "noise" only appears before the White Witch strikes.
She was not seen, but she was there.

Here is a short list of areas that may be of interest, note that most worgs have been noted in the East.
- Between the Dragon Trail and North Gates, twenty or so worgs slain by the Ghosts.
- West of Hillmarch, camp of the White Horde with worgs.
- South of Redspring, a giant camp of the white horde.
- East Way crossroad, an other camp with worgs and orcs.
- Bospir, a forest tainted by goblins.
- North of the East Gates, a raided tomb of Goldfeather.

If chased by eyes, then in was not in our forest proper, but on the border that battles a Helmlands.
As for Worgs, we have been told they wander in the tunnels under a city. Perhaps it is how they travel about?

I found worgs in one of the tunnels near Slingdyke, along with goblins. Nan is probably right in how they are moving around.
