      Rufus Mossbeard/Latok/Wereboar
      Name: Rufus Mossbeard (The Starwater Boar)
      Race: Human/Wereboar
      Class: Druid
      Alignment: TN
      Background: A crotchety old man who lived a relatively full life before running away to the wilderness to be left alone. Called “Mossbeard” due to his years spent in the Starwater Gorge, by the rive and in and out of the moist caves. He only came out of his hermit life to keep the damn city folk from tearing up his valley like they did so many other places. He especially hates those on both the sides of the Cormyr-Arabel conflict who zealously engage in hostility that could turn his valley into a battlefield.
      Interaction Goals:

      • Help any adventurer with their personal quest or meta-plot that does not involve the war between Arabel and Cormyr in order to distract people from conflict. Will continually lecture peace and quiet because the young always want to war over pride and invisible, meaningless borders.
      • Engage in PvP conflict with anyone who uses the Starwater Gorge area for war or unnatural magic. Doesn’t’ give a damn about it otherwise as long as it isn’t done in front of him and it isn’t in his gorge. In the event of a Cormyrian invasion into the area he would likely attack the purple dragons to chase them off and then subdue the Arabellians and drag them out of the gorge
      • Have absolutely zero interest in any politics or religion so long as it isn’t a violation of his druidic oath and it doesn’t effect the starwater.

      Notes:

      • Entire OOC point is to use the power of the druid/Lycan combination to help give other characters confidence to push their plots while giving a slightly comedic grumpy old “Get off my lawn” man vibe.
      • I’m envisioning his lycan abilities coming from his devotion to the Starwater, thus I’m going to set a personal limitation that if he doesn’t rest near the Starwater River for more than 3 IG days he will be unable to transform.
      • His personality will be stubborn, ornery, and short tempered and I intend to keep people wondering if it is just his lycan side or if he really is just an old bastard.
      • He will not join any factions and he will not involve himself in any politics besides to chide the “youth” for their silliness and recklessness. Pretty much anyone will be able to convince him to help them with their plots so long as it keeps them out of his gorge. Good/Evil/Law/Chaos etc doesn’t matter so long as it doesn’t throw things out of balance or involve any natural taboos (Outsiders, Undead, etc).
      • Won’t just jump to help people, will likely need to be talked into stuff but he will have obvious methods of convincing him (Such as promises to leave the gorge alone, bringing him mead, making him pies, etc)

          It’s a good concept. I told him I am fine with him coming back and left it at that. Like CB I am not voting yes for anything they do until they prove the can not be a pain in the ass and be a positive/fun influence. That said I am also not voting no in fairness and to give them a chance.
